I was (pleasantly) dumbfounded. No detectable uptick of reflected power on my cross-needle SWR meter during PTT. I was impressed with the first band tested (2m), but it was the same on 440MHz, and even on 220MHz. Plus the construction is first rate, a work of art.

If you are considering purchasing this antenna but hesitate about the cost, I would highly recommend it. Although it does not come with any instructions, it is very easy to assemble. I am using this antenna on a Uniden BCD536HP, and I am receiving "Several" stations that I did not receive with my other base antenna. I have it mounted approximately 20' in the air. Some are as far as 60 miles from my location. Hope this helps.

Although I am just starting out in this hobby, this antenna seems like it is of high quality. I had no issues when putting it together, no parts missing and setup was a breeze. I hooked this up to my scanner and was able to receive transmissions from about 20miles away. Local transmissions come in clear and strong, much better than the 900mhz rubber duck antenna I was using before. I am very happy with my purchase.
