I bought a used bike during the summer and the tires were rotted. I don't do a lot of racing or major Mt. Biking in rough terrain so I got these tires mainly for road riding. These are very affordable and the ride is smooth. The good thing is I can still take these on the dirt for that occasional dirt road. These also look like they are made of good quality. I definitely would buy these again.
PRODUCT MISREPRESENTATION
SteveJanuary 9, 2018
This tire is advertised as a Schwinn Comfort tire with Kevlar. It came in a Schwinn box but it is not a Schwinn tire. It is an Innova tire, which is a company located in Taiwan. Also, there is no indication on the tire that says Kevlar. I am surprised that Amazon goes along with this type of misrepresentation of a product since it appears to be false advertising. I did not notice this until after it was installed and I was looking for a directional arrow on the sidewall. (As mentioned previously it came in a Schwinn box). The tire appears to be much thinner than the original mountain bike tire I was replacing and it will be interesting to see how it handles and wears. As of this review I have not ridden the bike since it's the middle of winter and the one star rating is solely because of the misrepresentation.
Very satisfied, much better than expected.

Im actually fairly impressed with these. I needed a cheap replacement for the ancient, dry rotted and worn out mountain bike tires I had on before and I was looking for something that was both on and off road capable. I knew there would be a compromise, but I didnt expect these tires to perform in both scenarios as well as they did. These actually ride on pavement, dirt, and mud fairly well. Noticeably less rolling resistance on pavement over knobbies and still has enough grip for dirt and mud trails. Im sure theyd perform even better off road if I lowered the air pressure a bit. Now keep in mind, when im doing trails, I dont go hardcore and blast through it as quickly as I can. Even if I had that ability, I wouldnt trust these to keep me upright in that scenario. They dont grip the dirt and mud like a proper set of knobbies will, nor would I expect them to. But for a casual ride through a beginner's level trail, these work totally fine. The thing I cant comment on would be durability and treadwear as I havent had them long enough to determine that.
no drive direction arrow

we are a 4-bike family. Put 2 of these on an entry level mountain bike that was never really off pavement much. These tires work much better for general riding. Then, a few weeks later, I replaced the rear tire on my comfort bike - almost identical tread design from original KENDA tires on the comfort bike (you have to get real close to notice a small difference). These "Schwinn" tires are really INNOVA tires (on sidewall) - the box says Schwinn. My KENDA tires had K-shield, which is probably Kevlar. There is nothing on box or tire that says Kevlar but that is in description on Amazon; so the tire probably does have Kevlar. These INNOVA tires are 54-559 (which should be in the description but is not. My KENDA tires with wire bead were 50-559. These INNOVA tires fit fine on same wheel. One thing odd about these INNOVA tires is there is no drive direction arrow -- The tread design itself is in an arrow shape (>>>>) and that is the correct drive direction (my KENDA tire with same tread is stamped on the sidewall as the correct direction of drive). I don't know information of old KENDA mountain bike tires because I tossed them without noticing. The INNOVA bead does not seam as good as wire bead but easy to install. I paid $20 each for 2 tires (no discount for 2). Then the price was discounted 10% and I hesitated to buy the single tire for my comfort bike and it went back up to $20; right after I purchased the price went back down at 10% discount (my timing was bad). So if you want to wait for a while, it appears the price frequently is discounted. Overall I think this is a good value regardless - I don't know if other manufacturers use same design but it appears to be proven if both KENDA and INNOVA use it.
Work well for me.

For the price, these were easy to install and look great. I use them on a bike that I ride on largely paved surfaces. They ride well and seem to grip well. I followed some advice on one of these reviews and let them sit in the sun after opening them up for a 15 minutes to help them re-shape to their round form. They are folded into the carton thanks to the kevlar belts.
