It works! I feel like a cobbler when I successfully fix my shoes yet all I'm doing is glueing the sole back on. I think it works better for shoes than other types of glue because with shoes you're constantly flexing your foot and hitting the ground, other glues may break down over time. Shoe Goo is sort of flexible, it dries into like a rubber or silicone as opposed to a hard enamel. So far I haven't had to re-repair! It's also good for leather goods that might be hard to sew for example, I glued on a decorative patch onto a leather jacket. My only warning is to take your time getting to know the consistency and viscosity, it can be very messy because it's stringy. I used the tip of a screwdriver to transfer and apply the glue instead of squirting it directly into the narrow gap between my shoe and the loose sole. I then let the shoe dry overnight under a 5lb dumbbell. Solid job and the glue dries clear so it's a clean line. Oh, and as for my screwdriver, it doesn't really work on metal so after it dried I just peeled it off like a facial mask.
Much cheaper than a new pair of shoes, and strong as all get out!

This adhesive is amazing. I was weary to buy it on a off chance it would bring my skateboarding sneakers back from the dead. I was pleasantly surprised at the strength of this stuff. This is easily much stronger than the original adhesive used by the shoe manufacturer! I had some problems with the outer layer of the sole separating from the bottom of the upper layer of sole, and where the upper layer of sole met the shoe. In both places, Shoe Goo has bonded the touched up parts stronger than the rest of the shoe!
Even thought this 1 oz tube seems super small, the Goo is so strong that you could fix many pairs of shoes before you run out. However, you have to act fast when using it because the solvent evaporates pretty quickly, and the Goo starts to harden and set almost immediately. I barely had time to spread it out on the areas I needed before it got hard to manipulate. If you plan it out, you'll have no problem. Also, replace the cap as soo as possible, or it will harden in the tube.
This is a non-colored, clear version, which hardened completely transparent. It can even be used to create a water resistant layer if you cover your shoes with it.
PROS:
+ Cheap!
+ Stronger than the original shoe manufacturer's glue!
+ 1 ounce is enough to fix multiple pairs of shoes (even with severe damage).
+ Sets clear
+ After it sets, it's nearly indestructible.
CONS:
- Begins to harden almost immediately!

I like the fact that it is clear, sufficiently gelatinous to go on without extreme dripping, and dries reasonably quickly. I have applied it to secure most of the soles coming loose from a pair of old leather tennis shoes that are only now only used intermittently, a pair of Keen boots where threading had finally begun to separate in one location on the leather, and to patch the labels and worn heel on a pair of Cole Hahn rubber-soled casual shoes (another example of pricing being for a brand and not for the quality of the shoe). The repairs were easy with the glue (I used rubber bands to hold the labels in place while drying), but it would be premature to try to address permanency. I wish I had some of this on hand when the soles began coming off my Birkenstock sandals, because neither Superglue nor a glue gun have been very good and securing them, and both were far more messy than this product. It was an incredible price as an Amazon add-on.

This was recommended to me by a colleague when I told her that my shoe had fallen apart. I can't recommend this enough. Put some petroleum jelly on the threads of the tube so it doesn't cure on you while you're waiting for other shoes to fall apart.
Great for gluing on rubber soles!

This 1 ounce tube was perfectly enough for gluing 3mm rubber soles onto my soft sole, women's size 8 Minnetonka indoor boots. I can now wear my Minnetonkas outside. The rubber soles stuck on very, very well! There's even a little bit of glue left over. I used those large black, metal, office clips to clamp the soles on while the glue was drying. When dry I filled in all the gaps that were left with some more Shoe Goo.
