Removes heavily iron water

We have 20 ppm in iron, which is a ton! We are always battling the iron stain on the toilet. I put this in the toilet bowl and it removes it like I never even had it to begin with! I wonder why I haven't done this years ago. Will be buying again.

I was EXTREMELY pleased with the granular Iron Out product. I had rust stains from my water in the toilet. I followed the directions; shut off the water, stuffed a rag in the bottom of the bowl and used the product along with HOT water. I let the bowl soak all day when I was at work and when I came home, the stains were gone! Then, I placed these tablets in my toilet tanks and I haven't see another stain yet and it's been almost a month!
They just don't last!

According to the information on the package, each tablet should last approximately 45 days. They dissolve and disappear in only two to three days in my toilet tank. Adding about a half cup of Iron Out powder to the tank every other day works well and is much cheaper than buying these things.

It didn't work for me... back to square one, although the product was having to deal with full onslaught of untreated well water, Once our softener was replaced, Iron Out could stay ahead of any staining in the toilet.

I gave it 4 stars because it does work/help with rust stains. however, it makes the water smell like rotten eggs. It's subtle, not like a stink bomb went off. but It's definitely there when you flush. I assume it is some wierd reaction between the pucks and my water. The smell goes away right around when the puck is gone, and it starts as soon as i flush after putting in a new puck.
