Beautiful Curls, But Rollers Get Really Hot

Pros: Heats up very fast, nice curls, enough rollers to do entire hair
Negative: Gets really really hot, indicator light is just a sticker that will eventually come off, rollers need to be detached from base in order to fit in storage bag, clips don't hold, curl doesn't last long.
I think there is a learning curve to these rollers because they are larger than your normal rollers. You need to figure out how to properly place them so that there is enough space for you head to accommodate them. Also, tucking the ends can be tricky. My main complaint is that these get really hot. It burnt my thumbs and left them red. They still hurt today from curling my hair yesterday. Maybe I need gloves or just need more practice with long rollers to do my hair faster. Either way, I don't want to burn my thumbs each time I use these rollers.
Also, this set came with short clips and those don't really hold. You may need to use two clips per roller and sometimes that doesn't always hold them in place. I used my T3 butterfly clips and those worked a lot better for these rollers. Unfortunately, I will be returning T3 rollers (not enough rollers & don't hold curls) and if I keep these long rollers, I will have to buy some better clips (and gloves). I probably wouldn't use these long rollers daily because of how hot they get and overtime they will damage my hair. For daily use of hot rollers, I plan on using my caruso steam rollers. They give you a different kind of curl, but they still last throughout the day and are gentle for everyday use. For reference, my hair is hard-to-curl pin straight hair.

They are good, I have to learn the barrel roll technique as I am rolling them traditionally and not yet got the bouncy "mermaid curls" that I am looking to achieve and that I believe is possible if I roll them correctly. They get hot quickly not sure if they are hot enough. I have lots of long curly hair that I want to give body and bounce too and achieve the mermaid curls (that is what a stylist calls the curls that are achieved with the curling iron that I can't use quickly enough in the mornings)

I get so many compliments on my hair and I've referred several of my friends to use this product. Get that beachy/wave look without standing there forever with a curling iron. I have very long, thick hair and my hair will stay curled all day! LOVE, LOVE LOVE!!!

I swear this is my best product I have bought on amazon! Using prime I got them super fast!.. .These are really good for longer hair and make beautiful waves. takes 15 min in total to do this and that is letting them cool down all the way while doing my makeup... yes the clips are not the best but i love them regardless... I might buy some metal clips. to secure them better.. they do make a mark if you put them on incorrectly... move them around to try to find the best placement for them

LOVE THESE ROLLERS!!! I saw these rollers on QVC and looked them up on Amazon. Good thing because the price was $30 less w/ free next day shipping!!! WIN WIN. Since growing my hair long, using my "regular" hot rollers as become frustrating. I have to use more and they take longer to cool - which adds time to my morning.
I wish I had thought of "long hot rollers". Such a simple, obvious solution.
I used the Calista Long Style right when I opened the box. Here are the results
Good -
*The teeth on the rollers
* End of the rollers are not too hot - no burning my fingers.
*I love the fact that I can roll my hair over the entire width and reduce the cooling time.
*Heat up fast

*Butterfly clips. They totally crimp my hair. The worst thing is to spend time getting curly, voluminous hair and having a kink at your part.
Instead of the butterfly clips I used J clips (U shaped pins) from an old hot roller set. They worked great and NO KINKS.
For all of you who have not used hot rollers I highly recommend them. Once you get used to rolling your hair, you can get it done in under 5 min. Much faster then using a flat or curling iron, and easier on your hair. Once the rollers are in you can do your makeup, get dressed and then just pull out the rollers. Spray some hairspray if desired and off you go.
