Very Good Wireless Phone!
Allan•September 15, 2017
Brought this as a gift for my mother, the phone worked well, combined this with Cricket Wireless, and it let her receive phone calls without being tethered to a land line.

Wonderful answer to cell phone confusion
Amazon Customer•March 17, 2017
Bought for Mother-in-law. Wonderful answer to cell phone confusion. However, no service provider for it in our remote rural area.
Practical landline telephone in wireless configuration
Carlo Rolando Quimpo•December 11, 2015
Very useful for those having problems with land line installation by server. However, some functions like calculator described in user manual not available. Other than that, very good device serving as landline phone. My other concern is the avalability of replacement battery when the time comes.
Perfect choice for elderly user to provide desktop phone service via cellular service. Instructions are inadequate.
Savvy Scott•October 29, 2015
Reason for Purchase: To provide an elderly person with a phone that is used like a desktop phone.
Did it work out?: Yes. The phone is very limited in functionality compared to a smartphone but it is perfect for the intended purpose. a) It works exactly as a desktop phone b) It is always plugged in so there is no tiny USB plug for a senior citizen to handle c) The battery is useful for times when there is a power outage.
Pros: a) Low cost b) Relatively good design c) Compatible with BOTH GSM and CDMA networks i.e. works with all major carriers' FULL SIZE SIM cards. d) also has a miniUSB port, perhaps as a charger in case one loses the power adapter.
Cons: a) Instructions are inadequate and seem to be written for another model phone b) Doubts about long-term durability as I had a previous model (with only GSM) whose keypad developed problems after a few years.
Advice: Here are my setup instructions 1) Open the back compartment to access the SIM slot and battery, 2) Insert full-size SIM card, ensure battery is plugged in AND slide internal switch to [ON], 3) Close the rear compartment and charge the unit. 4) Press and hold the top right button until the phone turns on with a "Welcome" message. 5) If you only get "Emergency Calls Only" display, it means that the signal is too weak in that location.
