- •A great addition to a cheese platter, this handy tool makes it easy to portion your favorite cheeses into thick or thin, uniform slices. The stainless steel wire cutter glides cleanly through your favorite firm cheeses.
- •The OSTI Original come in a large variety of classic colors making it the not only a superior cheese tool, but also an aesthetically pleasing design icon perfect for every home.
- •For optimum performance of your OSTI Original, use OSTI Original replacement slicing wires. Our high quality stainless steel replacement slicing wires come in resealable packages of 3. The wires can easily be replaced in just seconds without the use of any tools.

We love this cheese slicer ever since we were introduced to them on a trip to Germany. We are thrilled to find another and purchase it without having to travel abroad.

Wire broke on semi-hard cheese after 4 months

Rarely used, this one replaced the one I brought over from Germany that lasted over a decade. The wire on this one broke after 4 months. Not on hard cheese like Parmesan, but on semi-hard, regular American cheddar. I paid $8 for this, and 3 replacement wires are $4.50, SMH
Nice slicer

Nice slicer with replacable wire only no spares came with mine. We have used it nearly every day for a month and is holding up. I would not use it on hard cheese like Parmesan. The wire does flex a bit.
Inexpensive and excellent for occasional use.

I was surprised by how good this slicer is. My cheese-of-choice is a semi-firm colby jack cheese from Walmart that comes in long blocks; I set the block on end and slowly pull the slicer towards me, for a perfect slice every time. The cheese itself lasts far longer than it does when pre-sliced, as well, since only the end is exposed to air and contaminants.
I believe that's the key to making the slicer last: don't be impatient, don't try to force your way through the cheese, apply moderate pressure and let the wire work its way through. If you find that you always need cheese NOW, RIGHT NOW, THIS INSTANT, take your cheese block to a deli and have them pre-slice it for you. For hard cheeses, you'll likely want to find a sturdier solution than a wire-based slicer can offer.
