Works just as advertised. Put the tape on a shaft and it tells me the rpm. Very easy to use.

Great for checking RPM on Diesel engines. Non contact type of measurement. Easy to use and fast accurate readout.Very nice quality tool.Could be used to check RPM on just about anything
No complaints so far, this is a nice little unit.

Well made, came fast, easy to use, and I have dealt with Ram Meter before completely outside of Amazon and had a great experience tracking down an obscure replacement meter body for an amps per square foot anodizing probe that I had been told was not repairable, and would cost $3000 to replace... they had the part in stock and $40 later the thing was fixed!
I'll update my review after using this tach meter for a while on the robotics project it's intended for.
EDIT:
It's been in use for a good while now and still working great in a demanding environment. Still five stars :)
