This is a great practical item. Small enough to carry on the job, sturdy and says American made. One thing, though; as other reviews point out, the markers are not etched into the plate, they're painted. They will rub away over time, especially since this will be used vigorously, in and out of pocket and tool bag

Works like it's supposed to everything is accurate the only reason why I'm giving it 4 stars and stead of 5 is because the sizes are painted on instead of engraved I would have preferred it being engraved into the metal instead of painted on which can easily fade and it was a bit smaller than I expected but that wasn't as big of a deal to me as I wish the sizes were engraved on the metal then instead of being painted on which can fade over time if it was engraved on the metal it would last a lifetime which is probably what I will end up doing to it
