Great Mobility & Some Operating Advice
RussellJune 25, 2017
Works well - seems solid and well designed; took an hour to assemble. MUCH greater mobility than crutches or walker BUT does not work on steps AT ALL, and steep grades are problematical - best have handicap type ramps for elevation changes. Recommend buying a padded seat cover for lower leg comfort - I bought Azoob $14.99 and like it. Takes a couple of days to get comfortable operating it, and thigh will be a little sore for a while from being in the bent position. Basket is a godsend versus crutches/walker. Turning radius is a bit of a problem in small areas, e.g., in a residence: lots of back-and-forth and wheels bind a bit when in extreme positions - it helps lift and re-position the front wheels if able to do so. ALWAYS SET HANDBRAKE LOCK before dismounting or shifting around on seat; if forget to set the lock squeeze handbrake before mounting. To avoid tipping be sure to COMPLETELY exit a ramp to a level surface before turning or lifting front wheels.
Sure beats Crutches !

Arrived 3 hours before I left for my ankle surgery, less than 24 hours from when I ordered.Love Amazon PRIME, and for once UPS delivered in the AM instead of at 8pm, lol. Assembly was easy. Hardly needed the instructions. There is a brake lock that was on, by default,so took a moment to figure that out. The indentation in the knee pad is good to cradle ones knees, however, in use when one is say standing by the sink to do dishes, you have to put your knee across the pad. An indentation in the center perpendicular might be nice. Also please note, ONLY rear wheel brake. worked great going down my one step to carport, but going up,(after surgery, and a bit doped up) I wiped out :( Basket is essential. I wish the knee height adjustments were a little more refined, like maybe 1 inch tweaks instead of 2 inch adjustment. Do not want to aggravate lower back issues using this, lol. All and all I am very pleased with the device. Am curious how it will navigate the lawn. Have only used for 2.5 days although seems like much longer.
great and worth every penny
It's Just Big S.April 29, 2017
I was a little leery about buying this as it is half the price of what I was able to find driving all over town to different medical supply stores. My wife loves this thing though. She happily scoots all over the place now with her broken foot. The basket is wonderful as it allows her to carry things. The wheels are big enough to navigate all of your day-to-day obstacles. I don't think she's going to stop using this when (if) her foot ever heals. The assembly was super easy if you ignore the directions and just go with what you think it is supposed to look like. The directions that come with it are pretty ambiguous. It's sturdy and seems to be durable.

The only thing I can think of that I don't like is that it doesn't really fold up very well should you need to cram it into a smaller car.
Cast to below the knee: life changer scooter!
Scarlett O'HaraApril 23, 2017
This is my second day with scooter, and it is a life changer. Crutches are difficult, too much impact on my good foot. This allows me to be a lot more mobile. It is steerable, though it is not as smooth when it steers. Other way it runs very smooth. It has a break, which is very useful when hopping on and off. The padding is comfortable. And the basket very useful. Easy to set up.
My main concern was my cast: a splint, actually, to just below the knee. I am using a pillow on my knee but it has been ok with the cast; the cast rests on the scooter but with the pillow most pressure goes to my knee. I could not use this long distances but to move in the house is great
Way Better than Crutches
Lisa KApril 5, 2017
Purchased this before my ankle surgery which I knew was going to require 4-6 weeks of non-weight bearing. Renting one of these was going to be $75 a month so buying this one outright was a no brainer. I have tried crutches and they are exhausting and I'm more at risk of a fall on them. My main concern with this scooter before buying it was worrying that it wouldn't get into some smaller areas. So far I have not come across any small areas that I can't get it into. I get around very well on this scooter. Sometimes I am faster than my fast-walking family. I don't have great knees so I was a little worried this would bother my knees but it really hasn't. It's is very sturdy, fully adjustable on both the handles and the "seat", and easy to maneuver. It weighs about 20 pounds but I am able to lift it on my own and put it in the back of my SUV. I've been using it now for about 2 weeks and it is wearing well. Some people have said that the seat is not cushiony enough and is uncomfortable but I haven't found this to be the case. Definitely worth the expense!
