Overall, I'm very pleased with the product. When I purchased these bars I compared them to other protein bars with similar macros and felt this was the better choice. The best part is powerbar is cheaper than, for example METrx meal replacement or OhYeah bars.
The bar tasted like a lot of other bars, it was thick and chewy and the chocolate had a "waxy" texture (not messy though!) Taste kind of like cake actually just not as fluffy. No gritty or coarse textures like most protein bars.

I've tried almost all the flavors now and Chocolate Peanut Butter is by far the best. These PowerBars overall are a good deal, haven't found anything else yet that tastes at least decent, provides a great amount of protein, and isn't super expensive. The Chocolate Brownie flavor does provide 50% more protein, but that's actually because the bars are 50% larger! The Cookies & Cream flavor has an odd chemical taste to it. The Peanut Butter Cookie flavor is quite dry, and has less fiber than the others.

Tasty bars I use as a breakfast replacement. They do give me pretty bad gas. This could be embarrassing, or hilarious depending on your situation. I work by myself mostly, and I don't mind sounding like an old Harley starting on a cold morning.

Tastes awesome but it would do a number on my stomach afterwards every time I ate it. That being said, I would recommend as a lot of times these protein bars have a nasty aftertaste but this did not.

These are the ONLY protein bars I will eat (and others made by PowerBar) for 2 reasons. First NO ARTIFICIAL SWEETENERS!!!! It is almost impossible to find protein bars these days that do not contain harmful ingredients like sucralose, stevia or HCFS. Second, it has a super high protein to calorie ration. (and they also taste great and fill you up)
