These lights are great! I was looking for a long enough length at a reasonable price to wrap around my desk. I compared several other lights with length options and price and found these to be the best choice. It was a really good length and that price made it even better! When I received it I immediately started to install it. I didn't use the sticky side of the lights to attach it, I used tape since it was going to be hidden anyways and didn't want to waste it in case I had to move it, so I can't say how good it would hold. Along with the controller that had a battery in it, there was another spare battery provided so no need to worry if it ever dies on you. Overall I'm glad I found these and for the price who wouldn't agree!?

If the darn remote would work better, these would be a 5 star item. But as it stands, I have to walk up, literally right up to, the receiver to turn them on, off, or change colors. And even at that, it takes half a dozen button presses before it works. IR receiver issue? Remote issue? Not sure. I even changed the remote's battery. It's very frustrating. But all is forgiven when the lights do finally turn on, because they're beautiful.

Light work great are are bright. The white is a warm white is the yellowish you see in normal bulbs, about 3200K However I could not get the remote to work. I made sure to remote the tag and still nothing. I checked the battery and I was surprised to see it was corroded. Disapointed I received something that appears to have been sitting so long, the battery corroded.

I had to take away one start because I had to find something else that uses the same battery to just test the remore and now I have to go buy a battery to use.

This was a great LED kit, I have bought this brand before and haven't been let down yet. This kit imparticular was great! The included power supply is quite bulky, but it is grounded and is 5A so it drives this strip really well! With 5 meters I was able to do all 4 perimeter edges of my 55" tv, put them under the length of my dash, and use the leftover as a new light for my aquarium, my clown fish' scales really pop now! My only criticism is that in order for the (NOT genuine 3m) double sided tape to stick, your surface must be VERY clean, like, chemically clean.

(UPDATE: MY ADHESIVE HAS NEARLY COMPLETELY FAILED. THE STRIPS KEEP FALLING OFF MY TV, AND WOULDN'T EVEN STICK UNDER MY DASH, INCOMPATIBLE MATERIALS I GUESS...)

For the price, I don't think I could be happier. I used these LEDs to line the rear of my desk and am super pleased with the end results. I recommend plugging the system in to verify it functions, but don't leave it on for too long all spooled up as it does build heat pretty fast.
Reading through the previous reviews there are a fair bit of complaints towards the adhesive backing on the strips. No, I really don't think it's 3M. It is sticky, but I feel at some point I will be using my own adhesive to reapply. I did clean the surface first and made sure to apply pressure between each LED to make a really positive adhesion. I even managed a hard 90 degree corner with no trouble. There is little to no instructions included, save for a single postcard sized note about function of the remote. Even that is lacking. Take a few minutes to look the remote over and you should be able to figure it out. There are two separate power buttons, one controls the white LED (its towards the middle of the remote) while the other controls the RGB LEDs.
I am really happy with how it turned out. Being able to set it and let it roll through colors (fade7 is probably my favorite) really just sets the desk apart from how it was. I may look into a different power supply in the future, something more efficient as well as something to add music flash to the system.
