No eggs needed. The taste is wonderful!
They are expensive and I am retired but worth every penny.
This is a NON GMO product and you can taste the difference.

Love this brand. Great for quick, good breakfasts..cook in microwave in paper bowl and top with fruit cups with juice or applesauce. Stovetop or griddle is good too. Makes a thinner pancake than traditional but great taste.

We love this pancake and waffle mix...and we use it for both pancakes and waffles. Because you only add water, my husband often mixes up just enough for him to make blueberry pancakes for his breakfast. We are in SW Colorado for the summer and so far I have not found this particular mix. I did find the brand in one store, but it was the higher protein mixes. Unfortunately, the price was twice what I am used to paying at home. Next year, I will purchase a few boxes to bring with us.

I bought this from Amazon because no retailers near me that I could find (even Wal-Mart) carry this variety. Normally I either make my own batter from scratch if I have time, but when I don't I use Bisquick or Krusteaz. These mixes are typically carried by my retailers, but I wanted to try something different.

The directions are simple 1 part mix and 1 part water. No other ingredients. I actually went a little heavier on the mix because the straight 1:1 looked a little thin to me. Per the directions, they want you to start making your pancakes or waffles within 15 minutes, and it became apparent why, because the mix starts foaming in a reaction to the water within a minute or so.

Initially I was a little disappointed when I sample the raw batter. It's a pretty heavy, whole grain mix but when it raw, it came off with a strong, bitter aftertaste. When cooked though, the bitterness disappears and the waffles were light, fluffy and pretty good. However, I really didn't get a strong buttermilk or honey flavor from the finished product. Nonetheless, it was quite tasty and I liked it better than my other go to mixes. I will likely try some of the other Kodiak varieties, but I think this will work for me for 'plain', easy fast waffles and pancakes.
