This product is the most convenient Cell Phone holder I have ever used. I was skeptical that the magnet on the back of my phone would be annoying but it is something I never even notice. The strength of the magnet allows for you to put it upright or side ways on the dash. The phone has no way it would ever come off of the dash without you wanting it too. The use of this product is especially great when using your phone as a GPS. Great product and worth the money. It allows for you to never again get out of the car with your phone on your lap and have it bounce off of the concrete.

I used this for a different purpose then it was designed for. My Pontoon boat has a bow door that does not come with a means to keep it open while underway. I use the Dash Mount to hold the door open. I like that (with the one I purchased) I didn't have to drill holes in my new boat. It is working well. I suspect it would work just as well to mount your phone.

I love those product. I considered getting another one that used a washer on the phone so the magnet was on the mount but wanted twice the amount. Also the mount swiveled and I thought that would wear out over time so hear I am with the Steelie. I love magnets first off so I really liked the concept upon seeing it, the orb look. As one reviewer stated, if you're having a problem with it sticking to a surface, you're not reading the simple directions, which are to clean the surfaces with provided alcohol wipes (do it reeeeeeally good), let dry. Peel adhesive backing (maybe this was the problem) from mounts and apply firmly to the center of phone and wherever on your dash or whatever. THEN...wait 24 hours to let adhesive set up. And that's it.
I drive a truck so I wanted to see it it would hold up to the vigorous bouncing and it does so normal small cars and trucks with wouldn't be a problem. It does tilt down with good bumps but so what, the screen is still visible and it doesn't hurt me to reach out and tap it up onto position.
The magnet that mounts to your phone is the size of a penny and sits 2 1/2 pennies high so quite small. This was a concern of mine because I use a Unicorn Beetle case and the back is not uniformly smooth. The magnet fits just right. Personally I like the way it looks.
One thing I might do if I mounted again is place the magnet dead center (I placed it just above center) or maybe even slightly lower than center to compensate for bounces that sometimes cause it to tilt down. But so far, I'm very happy with the Steelie.

Great phone mount solution, puts a little magnet on the back of your phone, and a steely on, say, your car you stick the phone to. Also allows you to stick your phone to anything magnetic (steel, iron), which can be handy while cooking etc.

DO use caution if you keep your phone in your purse near credit cards. This WILL strip your magnetic strips rather quickly. And repeatedly. Eventually I put some thin steel sheeting inside her wallet to protect the cards (was paper thin), and no more problems! There's also another brand of mount that just sticks a steel plate on the back of the phone which would work, but then you couldn't stick your phone on anything metal.

All in all, this car mount kit works awesome, just be careful with magnets!

I don't think that I have ever had a car mount that is more useful for than this. I love being able to not have to squeeze my iPhone 6 Plus into a car mount that I have to stretch like crazy until it finally fits and when its finally in there it is squeezing it so tight i feel like it might crush my phone all together. It is so nice being able to be able to simply touch the back of my phone to the steel ball that is held on very tightly to where it is placed in my car. The socket on the back of my phone also comes in handy for things like cooking. When I'm making something I can pull up the recipe on my phone and stick it to the metal hood that's above the oven so that I can easily look up and see the recipe.

The only downfall of the Steelie is that if you are like me and have multiple cases that you like to use on your phone, there is no way to use the mount unless you are using the case that you had originally put the Steelie on. The only way you would be able to use it with each of your cases would be to buy multiple phone sockets to place on each case. I have not tried it, but I'm sure that if you were to try and peel the socket off of the case, it would not stick onto anything else as well as it did on the original case you had it on.

Overall a really great phone mount, with one minor downfall for me.
