I was shocked when I opened this container. After I poured some in my drain I thought I had really made a bad mistake but within a few minutes my drain was cleared out better then any other drain cleaner did. It's a fantastic drain cleaner.

i am very careful. have some vinegar ready if you manage to get it on your skin. and remember, vinegar in the eyes is better than lye. both will sting but only one will blind. i think. but nevermind that just wear goggles

Good product and service

Bought this because couldn't find it in the stores. It does really work very well. I use it in an outside clean out valve by pouring it directly into it. I don't know what causes the main sewer line to clog up from time to time but this product solves the problem pretty quickly and keeps it clear for a while. Just be careful because this is acid. Definitely a good deal. Hope this helps.

There's no single chemical that can clear all clogs in all types of pipes without corroding the pipes. I use this product periodically to keep my kitchen drain pipe clear, needed because this pipe has a long run and shallow pitch and thus is prone to have build up inside. When I use this regularly I've not had clogging issues, but when I got lazy or forgetful and let it go too long I've gotten clogs. This product does not work for me once the flow gets very slow, where it actually can clog the drain completely as mentioned by some other reviewers. And it doesn't work for me once the drain is completely stopped. It does work great for keeping it unclogged in the first place.
