I'm going to use it for Our Wedding In April to put our cards in. As you can tell from my pictures it fits cards just right. You can't reach your hand in the sides and pull the cards out. It has a latch to open & close. WELL MADE!!!! Love the Hearts. These Pictures do Not do Justice!!!! I put it up next to a Pickle Jar to show you guys just how tall it stands. Hope this Helps!!!! Hope that you Guys Enjoy this As Much as I Do!!! CANT WAIT TO USE IT.

Doubles as Bird Feeder; Needs Better Paint

I purchased this decorative cage to use as a feeder for small birds like finches and sparrows, to keep the greedy doves out. The one-inch spaces between the bars work well for this purpose. The cage opens by means of a hinged top, and the hinge and latch on the cage are not strong, so if using outdoors (not what it was intended for), be advised. An eight-inch flowerpot saucer (also from Amazon) fits right inside and makes a good container for bird seed. One star off is because the paint job looks unfinished, dirty and stained, so it would need a complete coat of paint to use as a party decoration, but outdoors at a distance it is not noticeable. Also I changed my mind a couple of times on ordering more, and each time both the price and the shipping went up, so I quit while I was ahead. UPDATE: It took three days for the smartest sparrow to figure out it could get in and out of the cage safely. It had the seed to itself for a while until the others caught on several hours later.

I am using as a halloween prop for a bird skeleton. Looks great and is very sturdy. If it was used for a real bird you would need to add a perch and maybe put something solid on the bottom. It is a pretty decoration, though.
