Relatively more expensive than other wrist guards, but worth the investment!

I sprained my wrists last year during a snowboarding trip from falling on my hands instead of my forearms, and I didn't realize they were sprained until I returned home and was unable to continue my weightlifting routine for a couple months. After significant research on different wrist guards, I bought the Flexmeter Single-Sided Wrist Guard. These wrist guards are very comfortable, fit like a sleeve, and protected my wrists very well during a subsequent snowboarding trip. During a fall, the flexible guard provides wrist support that is initially subtle then gradually increases in intensity to provide your wrists with a comfortable transition into full support. Despite multiple falls, I didn't notice any ill effects when I returned from snowboarding to continue my weightlifting routine. Great product!
Fantastic wrist guards

After breaking my wrist last year wearing different wrist guards I knew i needed a more protective wrist guard. I got these wrist guards because they looked like they were thoroughly designed and tested. I bought these before my first trip snowboarding and I was a little disappointed at first. The wrist guards extend down quite a bit down so it makes your gloves tight. Although it is a little uncomfortable at first, it is to be expected for a more protective wrist guard and you get used to them very quickly.

The wrist guards are made out of a plastic like material. A lot of wrist guards on the market are made of a fabric with metal strips or molds for the protection. I don't like this because I believe that after a season they are worn and the metal becomes brittle and ineffective. The plastic used in these wrist guards seem very durable and I believe they will outlast other wrist guards.

Now that I've rode with them for a season I can say that I am very satisfied with them. I've found that my mittens need to be worn in or a size up to comfortably wear them. During this season I felt my confidence return since my accident.

Pros:
-Well designed
-Very protective
-Good fit
-Seems durable
-Not made of metal

Cons:
-Tight fit in gloves
Good product, would be nicer with better markings.

Got this for my SO for snowboarding. No more wrist pain when falling on her hands! Guards are also fairly slim and fit under her mitts, yay. Because the guards are designed specifically for left or right arms, it would've been nice to have them marked L and R to easily match them up. There's literally nothing tell the user this, except for the shape of the guard above the palm (she's mixed them up before). This is the only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars, better UI please.
Excellent wrist guards

Excellent wrist guards, must have saved my wrists a couple of times snowboarding. One minor point is that you should be careful to prevent the velcro straps from going on the thin material that goes on the palm side of your hand and arm because it might get damaged by the velcro hooks. If I ever need to replace these will probably go for the double-sided for that reason.
A great product.

These are clearly not the gloves that show up as the product image when not focused on this specific product page, but I was pretty sure of that before purchasing. These offer a great deal of stiffness for the wrist to prevent hyperflexion, but if you really rely on it that just means you're going to transfer that force up to your elbow...which may dislocate or break one of the bones in you forearm. Point is, don't expect this to save you from poor technique. It's best use is to help people with wrist weaknesses, in my opinion, or at least reduce the likelihood of a relative small impact from causing any real damage.
