Tulip took out one step, salt ash, makes it easier to use with kids (5-10yr-olds). Just washed our shirts, brought them out still wet, tied them, & dyed them. 24hrs later rinse them, wash them and wear them.

I got a white dress on sale but it had black lace and I couldn't figure out what color undergarments to wear so I got this to dye the dress and it took all three bottles but I was able to do an ombre of all the colors and the dress looks fabulous and now I can wear white or black underwear Yay.

Easy to use and the colors look vibrant. I'm giving this a lower rating because I was barely able to do 4 adult shirts with this kit. This kit would work better for 2-3 adult shirts. That makes this kit a bit pricey for the amount it will do.
Update: The colors faded a lot after a couple washes. I wouldn't recommend this kit. Using the full strength, undiluted dye, resulted in muted colors. I allowed the shirts to sit with the dye on them for 14 hours before rinsing. I can't imagine how washed out the colors would be if they had only set for 6-8 hours. For this price there are dyes that work far better.

Easy to do. Colors were bright and vibrant, even after washes. Came with a bunch of bands and instructions on how to make different patterns. Also came with gloves to keep your hands clean from the mess. I noticed the colors soaked in better when using 100% cotton and not a blend. It still worked with a blend, but when putting the dye, it would initially puddle up on the clothes and not immediately soak in. Both types ended up making good shirts.

Lots of fun with the grandkids these kits are easy to use. You do have to remember to get the dye way down into the knots if you want a lot of color. I also let the shirts sit in the plastic bags about 18 hours or about double the time recommended.
The colors stayed true to the pictures and did not fade out. Highly recommend!
