I ordered this slip to go under a cheap maxi skirt and a white pencil skirt. Unfortunately it's too flowy and doesn't really work for pencil skirts and hip-hugging maxis. The slight ruffles as well as my underwear line still show through my cheap maxi, thus defeating the purpose of this slip. However it is still nice for under looser fitting skirts. The material is a little thinner than I was hoping for, but as long as it's worn under a loose fitting skirt, it shouldn't matter. It also fit slightly looser than I was expecting. It is comfortable and nice that it doesn't cut into your hips, but my concern is that it may not stay in place for me and might twist or ride up due to being slightly too loose. I am 5'7" & 117 lbs and I ordered a size small. I still haven't decided if I'm going to send it back or not. I ordered MD Women's Shapewear Short Fitted Waist And Hips Half Slip Skirt Body Shaper which works way better for my needs. This skirt could still work for one or two of my things, but I may as well just use my other slip and get my money back for this one. Due to its comfort I would recommend this slip as long as it's not intended to be used under a form-fitting skirt.

This item was exactly what I was looking for, and I'm extremely pleased with it, especially for the price I paid. I bought a wrap dress to wear to an event, and if you know how wrap dresses are... with any gush of wind or big movement, one of the flaps on the bottom can fly up and expose you for the world to see. Along with that problem, my wrap dress also happened to be white and quite sheer- so your undergarments can still slightly be seen through the fabric. I bought this slip to wear underneath and it's absolutely perfect. It gets rid of the sheerness problem, as well if my wrap dress were to fly up, this slip would still cover me. For the price you pay, I definitely recommend buying this product. I would say it's true to size, but maybe size down on it if you have a smaller waist to hip ratio.

I was surprised at the quality of this slip. The fabric is nice. Fit is as expected.

I bought this slip with the high hopes that it would not be tight around my waist and would be stretchy when I sat down. It is perfect. The fabric is smooth and stretchy. The lace around the waist is wide and comfortable. I love this slip with all my heart and will continue to buy Vassarette slips from now on. It is so hard to find slips anymore, but I love this one. I will be buying more in different lengths and colors. I hope they are restocked in all colors and sizes soon so I can do so.

I have purchased these slips 4 times in different sizes and colors. I cannot believe how amazing and well priced they are. Best slips, hands down. I have purchased a half-slip and full slip from Commando, which is a higher-end lingerie brand, and I ended up returning them both because I knew Vassarette was better at a small fraction of the price.

I LOVE the stretchy lace waistband. It can be pulled up or down and keeps a smooth appearance. NO muffin top. I forget I have it on. I originally happened upon these slips at Target, and they only had an XS in black. I was desperate and bought it, although I would've preferred a medium. But it still did the trick! They are all so stretchy that you can have some leeway with the sizing. I now own 1 XS black, 1 small nude, 1 medium nude, and 1 medium black. The mediums are definitely more comfortable (especially now--I was thinner when I bought the XS back in the day). I am a size 6-8, and carry more of my weight in my belly than in my hips/thighs/booty. FYI ;)

I think every woman needs black and nude in her life. Oh, did I mention they are basically bulletproof? Not really, but I wash and dry them in whatever cycle/temperature, and they come out perfect every time. All of them look just as good as the days I first bought them. I have enough delicates to worry about--it's nice that I'm not scared of ruining these.
