I was a little nervous buying this because the price is so low compared to other models. The effort needed to replace this mount and realign the projector again would make the low cost pale into insignificance very quickly.
This mount works perfectly for me and I am fussy! I was able to adjust every single angle to the minutest degree to get the projector perfectly aligned with the screen. Once aligned I was able to lock everything down and it has never moved. It is mounted to the underside of a sheet rock ceiling and screwed through to a rafter on the other side.
I get zero vibration even when the garage door (which is below the bonus room I have this installed in) opens, when people run up the stairs or when moving around the room. Its rock solid.
Note that if your home framing is not vibration free no ceiling mount regardless of cost will overcome that.

Great: Received mount with issue with one bolt on ceiling mount, contacted QualGear and they replaced item immediately. Wonderful customer support!
Good: Awesome mount, endless mount-to-projector attachment options to my Optoma 142X, absolutely no issues in making it work the way I needed it for my image throw. Mount itself is well constructed, sturdy with tons of adjustments.
Not so good: The "quick release" mechanism is not so quick and can be better designed. If you plan to mount and un-mount your projector regularly, maybe do further research. My projector is staying where it is, not an issue.

Very good, just make sure you don't need height adjustment

I purchased this mount to be used with the Optoma GT1080Darbee projector (alos bought here on Amazon). My projector is now installed, though just last night.
My experience as a first time installation was pretty good. There are a large number of small parts for this mount that can be used in a variety of ways. I was very happy with the packaging of these parts and how well they were organized into individual packages, making it easy to find what was needed. Also, with the sheer number of adjustable pieces I quickly figured out more tham one way to attach the face plate to my projector, though it would have been great if I could have seen how others has installed attached the same projector.
The only feature I really was missing when it came time to adjust my projector was vertical alignment. Many mounts have metal pipes which you can at least replace easily at your local hardware store to change the height of the mount. This mount does not give you much flexibility there.
In the end I have my projector installed and I am happy with the mount, though I had to compromise by changing the height of my peojector screen since I could not mount my projector lower due to this mount not supporting that.

Ok, not used to reviewing products but they'll never be better if we don't let the manufacturers know how we feel about their product. So, here goes.
I received the product today and after looking at all of the pieces and looking through the manual, it was fairly easy to figure out. I think the manual made it more complicated than it had to be. In any case, I got it assembled and hung easily enough but adjusting it was a whole other matter. It took some doing to get it leveled and secured. Far too many screws needing to be adjusted to get the vertical and horizontal image leveled and secured. After tweaking the 6 adjustment screws I finally got my projector to a place that I can live with. Luckily, it's on the ceiling and no one should bump into it so it should be fine.
Pros: easily installed and the pieces connect easy enough. It's seems pretty sturdy for now and should last.
Con: Tightening and securing the projector placement wasn't as easy.
Would I recommend this ceiling mount or purchase it again, NO!

Worked great for my Optima. should fit any projector. had to make a few adjustments for my particular projector but they were minor. comes with a lot of extra parts to fit multiple projectors. My only complaint is that some of the bolts were to long for my particular projector and I had to go to the hardware store to get shorter ones 9not very exspensive. otherwise once everything is adjusted to your screen. you just tighten them up and it is very sturdy. my ceiling was already open so I put in the supports when tested to get the right distance from the screen before I put up the drywall. but honestly my ceiling mount withe the projector was so light that most fasteners would have no problem supporting the weight. Misplaced the first one I bought and could not find it. so I had to buy it again but that was my fault although it did go up in price in a short period of time. about 10 dollars. till it worked out great
