Oh my goodness! I love this window film. I home school my 11 year old granddaughter. As a science project we made a bird feeder. We hung it in front of the windows where her school desk is. When she sat at her desk it scared the birds away from the feeder. I ordered a roll of this window film and put it on the windows in front of her desk. Now the birds come to the feeder all the time. My granddaughter loves being able to sit in front of the windows and watch the birds eat and play. When she sits at her desk she is no more than a foot and a half away from the birds. They don't see her so the don't fly away. It's great! It really helps cut down on the bright sun light, and even makes the house cooler. There was a web site listed on the side of the package where I found a tutorial video on this window film, and how to use it.It was really helpful because the written instructions weren't very clear. I just placed an order for another roll because I want to put this window film on a lot more windows.I recommend this product if your windows are way too sunny. It does a fantastic job and the house is so much more comfortable.

I live in an upper-level apartment and have a pretty wimpy air conditioner that costs a bloody fortune to run during the summer time. I have a large sliding glass door in my living room and a large window in the bedroom. Needless to say, they both help to increase the levels of heat in my home to extremely uncomfortable levels and the air conditioner has to work ultra hard just to keep the living room at a comfortable level. So I needed something to help reflect the sun away. I had looked into a few DIY options and things like tin-foil doo-dads to stick into my window. But I still wanted to be able to see out of them. So I bought a roll of this film just large enough to fit my sliding glass door. And WOW! What a difference it makes! It's a night and day difference in the levels of heat penetrating my living room! I'm not joking when I say that you can barely feel the heat getting through when this film is on...But don't get me wrong, there's still heat coming through, but at much, much lower levels. The air con doesn't have to work nearly as hard, if at all. And if I throw a window fan in there to suck out whatever heat does make its way in is quickly sucked out. We had an early 80-degree day not too long ago, and I didn't even have to think about turning my air on. The sun can beat into my home all it wants and it remains comfortable or close to it 90% of the time....I was so satisfied with this product I bought another roll a week or so later for my bedroom and had the same results. A little window fan paired with this film will keep you cool..Or at least, much cooler than if you didn't have the flim.

Two CONS:
The film is a pain in the ass to apply on large surfaces like sliding glass doors on your own. If you have to go it alone, make sure you measure and cut the film properly and make sure your windows are spotless and you soak both the window and the film with a spray applicator. Keep them both wet as you can. Otherwise, you'll be sorry if the film touches a dry spot, as it's not easy to just peel off for a quick adjustment if you screw up and will likely end up with creases and crinkles on your film.

Second, the film is quite dark. I provided a photo of my sliding glass door so you can try and gauge the difference of how much light this stuff blocks out. During a bright sunny day it's nice to keep the shine at bay. But with even a little overcast it's hard to determine if the sun is even out at all. It almost look's and feels like you're looking outside on a grey, rainy day..So this stuff may be too dark for some people. Personally, I love having it in my bedroom. Keeps the sun from lighting up my room as if an atomic bomb just went off, but just bright enough to wake up peacefully without burning my eye holes.

All in all, I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE this stuff, and will be buying more when I eventually move!

We put this film on our top floor that gets a lot of direct sunlight, so it not only gets warmer because of heat rising throughout the day, it gets toasty after being baked for several outside. After putting up the film, we immediately noticed a difference in the temp, which was what we wanted. All in all, it's a cost effective way to help with energy efficiency.

This stuff is amazing!! I can see outside perfectly and can't see inside the house unless I put my face directly up to the glass and shield the light out with my hands around my eyes... which I'm not worried about someone doing! I just wanted some privacy from the window in my front door that would allow anyone to see inside my house while standing at my front door. I can now see who is ringing my doorbell without them knowing I can see them. The photos I included are from the inside of my house looking out, then from the outside looking at the door, then a closer and closer look at the mirrored effect until my phone is placed directly against the window with my hand shielding the light out.

Used this for an infinity mirror and magic mirror project. Works pretty well, just be sure not to scratch it it happens pretty easy. Didn't have any problems with bubbles really, just follow instructions. Lets a decent amount of light through.
