We used this on our inside ac evap coil. The coil was really dirty and ac wasn't cooling very well and was freezing up. We used a toothbrush to brush off some of the dirt/dust before we sprayed this stuff on. We got a lot of the dirt off before hand and loosened a lot of it as well. When we sprayed this stuff on the coil, I think I was expecting to see a ton of stuff just melting off the coil. That didn't happen. The foam was literally coming off the coil faster than we could spray it. The foam didn't stick very well and came out watery most of the time, even with lots of shaking. The towel we put on the floor to catch all the debris and stuff that was coming off of the coil didn't seem to have a whole lot of dirt on it. It had mostly just the spray that was coming off the coil and a few specs of dirt. The toothbrush seemed to have taken off more than this foam. My ac seems to be working a little better now and hasn't frozen over since we cleaned it a few days ago but I'm not sure if that's attributed to brushing the soil off with the toothbrush or due to the application of the foam. The smell of the foam wasn't too bad and went away pretty quickly (30 minutes at most). As long as you don't spray it in a closed off space without ventilation, you should be fine. I may purchase another can to try it one more time just to see if it will help my ac to re-apply.
Good stuff. Messy in a mini split system.

Worked pretty good on my Daikin mini split system. The round inside fan thingy was caked with black gunk. Soak the whole thing, let it drip all, over then had to rinse with water. It was a lot of work and messy. Tried to make a water catch out of big trash bags and failed miserably. Ended up having to do it twice it was so bad. Used a 2 gallon pump sprayer to rinse with water. Helped out a lot by doing that. Took off extra gunk for sure! So buy two cans for sure if your split system is disgusting like mine. But, the stuff worked.
I'd say 95% of all the gunk came off. Also, after wards little bits kept flying out of it of it for a few days, which were thin. Looked like small black corn flakes really. Found a YouTube vid on how to take the inside system apart and how to clean it.

The product itself works great at cleaning coils

The product itself works great at cleaning coils. I have a couple complaints/suggestions though.
1. The can is quite large so it can be hard to get into coils that are still inside the house. It would be helpful if the can was a different size and then I'd just by more of them or even better if it had a nozzle that you can get in tight places with. They do sell a nozzle called the talon that is currently on amazon for 37 dollars which is a joke, gimme a little plastic nozzle that won't fall off for 10 cents as part of the can.
2. The "great lemon scent" is incredibly overpowering. While the cleaner itself does great work I hope you don't have to be inside the house after using it, I'd rather put my oven on self clean than smell this all day again. Next time I'll spray it on my way out the door and leave the windows open.
Having said all that, it still gets 4 stars because as a cleaner it does a really great job, foams great and rinses clean, just have some minor complaints.

It works

My local AC guy gave me directions on how to use this stuff. I only used it not the interior A coils. I used a small soft brush to remove the excess and then sprayed the coils down once. I waited 30 minutes then brushed the coils again. I sprayed down with water to rinse and I think it worked well. I have pets and my AC guy suggested brushing the excess hair off the coils every time I change the filter to avoid excess build up the use this every 3 months or so.
Fabulous Coil Cleaner!
Reynold✓ Verified Purchase•June 2, 2017
We use this during our annual spring cleaning on our Sub Zero refrigerator. The unit is 20 years old but the coils look brand-new spanking clean, thanks to this product. Note that it comes out as a liquid stream and then the foam slowly forms on the coils after 5-10 seconds. Once the foam has set, we run a wire grill brush down the coils, with copper bristles about an inch long, that gets nicely between the fins. It is also a good idea first to use a small vacuum with a flexible hose, that can pick up loose dust, before you apply this cleaner.
