Just purchased this monitor and alarm. It was was already preset so all I had to do was insert the batteries.

The monitor and alarm work perfectly. I do not need to reset the motion sensor once triggered. All one has to do is shut off the chimes on the monitor. Placed it on the floor so it would sense if a person was getting out of bed at night. Easy to place without undue triggering. Turn it off during the day.

This is awesome, if my Mom gets out of bed and passes through the door the alarm goes off in my sisters apartment next door. We love this product!

I am care giver for my wife with alzheimers and my daughter with multiple health problems. I have been using the smart monitors for 3 years. One sensor is pemanantly by the bed, so I know as soon as my wife gets up. I use the other sensor where ever my wife happens to be while I do my chores. I carry the receiver when I'm working out in the yard. I mount it on the steering wheel of my mower. With the loudest volume setting and the flashing lights, it gets my attention, which allows me to still get the mowing done. Apparently it's very durable; I've been mowing with It fastened to the steering wheel (with bungee cords) for 2 years. It seems to work as far as 200 feet or more outside. Also, in the car, I place it between her seat and the door, so I can run into the C-store or Dollar General when she wants to stay in the car. Then I know as soon as she opens the door. (I only do this when I can park directly in front of the entrance). Occasionally I give the extra sensor to my daughter when I am outside or in the basement and if she needs help she just turns it on and activates it. This saves buying a call button transmitter. I am considering buying another set to leave in the car all the time. After 3 years I have no complaints with this device. Battery life is excellent in my opinion - I change batteries about every 6 months to get maximum range. I just noticed the monitor when I was searching my past Amazon orders and thought I would share my experience.

This simple system works very well for me. My dad has Alzheimer disease, and I needed something that would wake me up at night when and if he got out of bed. I located it in the hallway outside of the bedrooms, mounted to the wall high enough so the cat would not trip it. A doorbell type chime goes off and continues until you turn it off. 3 volume levels on the chime. Since both are battery operated, I make sure to turn both the sensor and chime off after I am awake for the day.

I attempted to use this as a bed alarm for my elderly grandparent who is prone to falling and wandering at night. False alarm after false alarm, kept us up all night. I spent hours re-positioning the sensor to try and stop the maddening false alarms. Never got it to work. I replaced it with the much cheaper 'WJLING Home Security Alarm, Wireless Driveway Alert' which worked perfectly and set up in minutes.
