Bought this for my wife who has used a latex foam pillow for the past 10 years. We decided to try the chunky foam pillow and after using it for 3 months she's decided she doesn't like it and wishes she could return it.

When we first got it it was very full of foam. She tried it a few nights as is and couldn't sleep on it. It was way too high and hurt her neck. So we removed exactly 1 gallon ziplock bag full of stuffing and tried again. No luck. Still too high and firm. So we removed another gallon ziplock bag full of stuffing and tried again. This time she slept fine but was uncomfortable as the stuffing separated into a channel where her head rested and eventually by morning there was barely any stuffing left under her head and her neck once again began hurting and was very stiff.

I just don't think removing any more foam material will help at this point and adding some back won't help either. It's just the nature of the foam material. It wants to move to the edges and leave a big indention in the middle.

I think we wasted our money on this and will have to search for an affordable foam latex pillow which is tough because they are super expensive.

I have been in the market for a new pillow for a few months. I couldn't commit to any of the pillows from warehouse stores because I wasn't sure if it would be a perfect fit.

Then, I came across this pillow and I bought it because it's adjustable. It's a perfect cross between firm yet soft enough to have that nice pillowyy air feeling. I didn't need to remove any of the stuffing because I am able to form the pillow in sich a way that it makes for a nice neck support yet soft on the head.

I will be eventually replacing all of our pillows with this one.

What a terrible experience. The pillow is very dense so I opened it up to remove some filling, and I realized that there are some materials that are not "premium" at all: 1,2) some foams with black stains or specks; 3) foams with yellow, porous side that seems to be some kind of insulant; 4) red dirt; and even 5) bits of regular white sponge that's not even a memory foam. Refer to my pictures. These are not "premium materials" and their safety is questioned. Also this pillow has strong chemical smell. This pillow does not deserve the hefty $55 price tag. I will not put my head on top of this. It's going back to the seller.

The ONLY reason this is getting 1 star is bec 0 isn't an option. Bought this pillow last year and it was great for a while, then started going flat. Put it in dryer to fluff it but no luck there after a while either. Contacted company since it has a 5 year warranty and was advised they "no longer made" the pillow in a queen, but would gladly send us a king as a replacement. I thought that'd be okay and was appreciative. However it was so big that the contents couldn't ever fill the cover. Therefore it never fully fluffed up. It was junk. I started looking for other comparable queen pillows on here and what do you know, this same one popped up in my search and showed it was purchased on my account, so it was definitely the same company etc. I emailed again asking why I was told they no longer made the queen but they were for sale. Then they advised they JUST FOUND 80 queen pillows!!! Awesome, right?? Yeah... if they weren't returns or in a dark dirty corner in your dirty warehouse. I'll add photos, but the pillow is BLACK around the edges, frayed, the tag is clearly worn, and it smells absolutely god awful!! I wouldn't let my worst enemy put their head on this pillow!! I'm throwing it out in tonight's trash where it belongs. Its too gross to even donate to Goodwill. Im cutting my loss and going with a more reputable company who offers NEW pillows, not refurbs or something that sat in a dirty corner of a dirty warehouse for so long it rotted. That's the only thing this god awful smell could possibly be - mold and rot. Please do yourself a favor and keep shopping.

So you're obsessing about a new shredded memory foam pillow and your afraid you're going to choose the wrong one. I've got you covered.

There are three on Amazon that have the most positive reviews and are really the only ones that need to be considered. Really there are two, but more on that in a minute. I have purchased and tested all three.

The Contenders:
1. The Coop Home Goods, $59.99
2. The Xtreme Comfort, $54.99
3 The Snuggle-Pedic, $69.99

So why are there only two to consider? Because the Xtreme Comfort and the Snuggle-Pedic are the exact same pllow sold by two different distributors. They simple print their names on the tags after the fact. The Xtreme Comfort is $15 cheaper so if you go with one of those, choose the Xtreme Comfort. (I have posted photos to show how exact they are.)

The Coop and the Xtreme Comfort/Snuggle-Pedic have the same mount of fill, more or less. With this type of pillow loft depends on the distribution of the memory foam, so it can be adjusted to ones liking. With the Coop one can access the fill and can add or remove foam. With the Xtreme Comfort/Snuggle-Pedic it is sealed. I believe one can send it to the manufacturer to have it adjusted. That seems like a lot of work for a pillow.

All pillows are filled CertiPUR-US Certified foam. The main difference that I see it the Coop uses a finer shred whereas the Xtreme Comfort/Snuggle-Pedic use a chunkier shred. Both smell bad when you first open them, the Coop worst, but the odor dissipated over a few days. All pillows are also 100% machine washable/dry-able.

So what does all this mean?

The Coop's finer shred gave it more buoyancy. The Xtreme Comfort/Snuggle-Pedic felt firmer. Some may like that, but I had more trouble getting comfortable. I preferred the Coop because it was both soft and firm at the same time and it had a removable dust cover. Coop Home Goods also has a video to help you adjust it to your liking.

So for me the Coop Home Good pillow is the best of the bunch.
