I have severe stenosis and was advised that this product worn frequently could work to properly align the lower back. Product arrived on time and well packed. The sizing is very accurate and the quality is outstanding. This model is best worn over clothing as it is pretty bulky to achieve the stiffness needed. I have worn it daily for several days now when standing, working and walking and the back strain and pain is noticeably improved. You can easily loosen the draw tabs if you need to bend over low or sit and in the sitting or lying position the stiff back acts well as a lumbar support. I have owned and used a number of full elastic braces and they are trash compared to this product.

This brace is a literal Godsend. I've used it and recommended it to everyone I know who has back problems. I use it for compressed nerves in my back and hip and it's the absolute only thing that keeps me mobile during these flares. Somehow -with its drawstring mechanism - it supports the back in a way that lessens the pressure on the nerves and therefore lessens the absolutely excruciating pain. We have several at our house - one new one and one that is quite old and has held up tremendously well and been super durable. Very recommended!!

This brace is great! i received one from my chiropractor for a bulging disc. I am in the healing process but it takes months and is painful. This brace helps me like a walker helps someone with balance issues. I am able to stand upright in a proper postural stance and do things like squat to get things that are elevated but not on the ground which is fine, because before squatting was far too difficult.

The way this brace has a double mechanism (Drawstring) helps in getting it firmly around your waist. Being female and curvy with hips this can go on nice and tight but the drawstring allows it to get right against my body and properly work. I bought one for someone with a herniated disc so that they can work in their yard or around the house knowing their posture is not being compromised due to pain. HIGHLY recommend.

The disc i have messed up is L5 which is way down there so I wear this so that the top part is above my belly button and along my upper buttocks to lock in that area of my spine. The other person I purchased this for has his L1-L4 messed up so he will wear his a bit higher than me but I don't think it matters too much. Some days I wear it up high like a corset and it still works.

It is a good quality piece too but I can see it wearing out eventually (1+ years is likely with good care). PS wear it over your shirt or clothes!

I recently had a compression fracture of my L2 vertebrae, right in the middle of several personal events and a crucial project at a new job. I initially tried an elastic wrap; it helped, but only somewhat. Then I got this, and Oh My Goodness did it make a difference. The pulley system is top notch, and allows you to place tension exactly where needed. Construction is of high quality, and impressed my doctor when he saw it. When I go to work, I wear it over my t-shirt and under my dress shirt, and it stays properly in place without sticking out like a sore thumb.

Bottom line - highly recommended for anyone needing some back reinforcement.

I was written a prescription for my first Aspen back brace, it was getting old and ratty, and I thought I would have to go to the doctor to get a new one
by chance, I looked on amazon for one and was pleasantly surprised to find that they had them. I have spinal stenosis and rheumatoid arthritis and my back always bothers me, the Aspen brace is a life saver, I wear it everyday and I would not be able to do a lot of things without it. The support from it is tremendous, the only drawback is that they did not have women's and men's sizes, when I sit it digs into my ribs as it is too tall, I have to break in a new one, as on my old one, by continually wearing it I bent the plastic inserts so it was more comfortable to wear, but, overall it is a wonderful product.
