I've visited this rescue a number of times and it doesn't smell of cats so this stuff must work because it's a whole building full of cats!
Better way to use rescuertu

With these wipes you can apply the product much easier. Spraying RescueRTU you have to wear a mask because if you breathe with it in the air it makes you cough. I think thats because the particles in the air are irritants or maybe bind with oxygen so you literally cannot breathe for those few seconds (its accelerated hydrogen peroxide you are spraying). The wipes eliminate this, you aren't accidentally breathing in any of the product because it is all coated in the wipe. You still want to wear gloves when you apply it, hydrogen peroxide disinfects by killing cells so accelerated hydrogen peroxide would do the same thing. Any cuts, scrapes, or openings in the skin wouldn't be able to heal if you kept pouring peroxide on it, and skin cells would eventually break down if constantly exposed to peroxide. Dryness, bleaching, flaking away of dead skin would be the first signs, constant exposure would lead to more serious issues.
Works well to disinfect.

I have used this for a few years now; and I like how well it works as a disinfectant cleaner.
Not sure if the other users have noticed this, but the chemicals on the wipes are so strong and abrasive that they would partially "wipe out" the fingerprint of the fingers that have touched the wipes. This goes for everyone I know who have used this product.
So every time I use the wipes, I make sure to wear gloves; otherwise, afterwards I wouldn't be able to unlock systems that use fingerprint identification.

best disinfecting wipes & not harmful to pets

If vet offices and animal rescues use these wipes to disinfect, I figured I should give them a try. So, I did.
I like these wipes as an alternative to using other brands of disinfecting wipes b/c these don't contain harmful chemicals that are poisonous to cats (& animals in general). I have a cat and use these wipes on surfaces that she uses and I know they won't cause her any harm. (Read the instructions on the back of the container about what types of surfaces you can use these on). For example, if she barfs on the floor, I use these wipes to clean up.
Plus, a good feature of these wipes is that they don't smell awful. No harsh chemical smells! Because there are 150 wipes, they do last. I'm glad I found these and I'don't have to worry about any chemicals causing harm to my kitty.
One note about packaging though--Every time I receive these, they leak. The reason is a tiny pinhole in the plastic cover underneath the lid, so, it leaks all over the box. These wipes are not cheap and are no good if they're dried out/don't have any peroxide liquid. Please, PLEASE fix this issue. Also, please put the container in a sealed plastic bag to prevent leaks.

I bought this after my new puppy was diagnosed with coccidia. Though I did do deep cleaning with other sanitizers, I wanted something for quick and easy cleanup for spot cleaning the floor/furniture etc. while he (and my two older dogs out of precaution) was going through his treatment and a friend who works at a kennel recommended Rescue. The smell is very faint and I never felt like I had to worry about harming my dogs while using this near them. However, I never thought about the fact that the wipes might be more irritating than other disinfectant wipes. After a few days, I noticed the skin on my right hand seemed "tight" and appeared kind of shiny. Only then did I think to read the reviews on here. I freaked out after reading some of the other reviewers/seeing their pics, but my skin never got as bad as some of them on here. It did start flaking and even with heavy, repeated moisturizing it took over a week before my hand started to look normal again. However, it wasn't super painful or anything, just reminiscent of dry winter hands, little tender around the nails. Still, I did use gloves after the first few days. I'm sure if I hadn't noticed the tightness of the skin as quickly, the irritation would have been worse. The good news is that we eradicated the coccidia within two weeks with only one round of antibiotics. So yeah, recommend it, just make sure to use the wipes with gloves.
