My husband has been on a mission to get me to use protein powder for years. He's tried making me shakes and mixing protein powder in with pancakes and I just could never tolerate it...the chalky, bland, fake flavor disgusted me. That is until he found this stuff. You see, I am 4 months post-partum and recently signed up for a fitness challenge that requires a certain amount of protein intake per day. My husband convinced me one shake a day would help, so I gave it a try. We picked this particular brand because our daughter has a terrible reaction when I eat dairy or soy and it gets into my breastmilk. This is free of both :)

The first shake I made I used 8 oz of almond milk and a scoop of the chocolate protein. It was SO chocolate and pretty grainy. I dumped it in the blender and added 6 ice cubes and a cup of strawberries and holy cow! It is the best protein shake I've ever had. I could only taste the fruit a little and the chocolate flavor was perfect! I tried it again, but with a banana instead of strawberries and it was so creamy! I literally look forward to having a protein shake now.

I also want to add that people rave about Shakeology and going off taste alone, I think this protein powder is so much better! I know that stuff is packed with other super foods, but this stuff has more protein per serving and is $115 cheaper per month. I will definitely be buying this again!!!

My usual protein powder company was recently bought out by the one of the worst corporations in the world, so I went on the hunt for a new powder! I heard Dom D'Agostino mention this one at one point, so I feel good about both the composition and the quality. Blends very well with both water and almond milk - the powder is very fine and does not feel gritty whatsoever. I usually use my NutriBullet, but it also stirs well with just a spoon (impressive). It tastes great and I've had no issues digesting it on an empty stomach even when I add MCT oil. Lastly, it's a great value - using one scoop, it's less than $1 per use. Thank you MRM!

So. I have Crohn's, which in a nutshell means that I have a hellofatime digesting nutrients (food). I'm also a vegetarian, and whey majorly upsets my stomach. I've tried ALL of the vegan protein powders out there, and MRM Veggie Elite wins hands down. BEST for price, macros, and taste. I go through about 2 (sometimes more) large size tubs of this a month (average 2-3 drinks a day). Most of the time I just shake with water or almond milk, and it's delicious. The Chocolate Mocha flavor is amazing! I generally buy vanilla though, because it's more versatile (I just add whatever spices/flavors I want. Also makes some amazing pancakes and cookies).
I typically workout about 3-4 times a week, and it's always my post workout go-to. My snack go-to, my pancake 'flour' go-to, my cookie 'flour' go-to, and not ONCE has it ever upset my stomach! Which is amazing when almost EVERYTHING does! Thank you MRM for making such a delicious and versatile, quality vegan product. You have a customer for life.

For a first impression, I like this protein supplement. When opening the tub you can smell the cinnamon bun flavor. The fact that this supplement mixes extremely well is a huge plus! . Before purchasing this product, I was drinking the Orgain Organic Plant Protein which is also very good as well. To be honest, they are both equally good. If I need the Cinnamon Bun flavor I'm using this product. I'm going to try the chocolate and vanilla flavor as well and compare them to the chocolate and vanilla of Orgain Organic to see which one I like best. As for the price per serving, this product gets 5 stars. 30 servings for roughly $29. You are getting under $1 per serving. PLEASE DO NOT CHANGE THE PRICE!!!!!! Like many others, my digestion system can't break down lactose anymore so I had to take the plant protein route. And I'm happy I did. My digestion is so much better. The plant protein is easier for my body to handle than whey. So for price per serving, taste, ease of mixing, and ingredients this product gets 5 stars. MRM PLEASE DON'T CHANGE ANYTHING WITH THIS PRODUCT!!!!!!!

I tried really hard to like this Veggie Elite protein because it was one of the highest rated for taste. Granted, with no gluten, no dairy, and no sweeteners, I wasn't expecting mouth watering deliciousness. I also wasn't expecting to choke down the consistency of chalk. I tried more water, less water- it didn't matter. It also mixes terribly! I use a blender ball and shake the heck out of it and it's still clumpy. It also settles right away, so you have to CHUG IT (unless you don't mind re-shaking your protein every sip). Oh, the texture of it in your mouth also feels like gritty chalk. Yuck! Lastly, I haven't noticed any benefits from drinking it. I use other protein to re-fuel after working out and for snacks throughout the day. These shakes don't impact me positively and I'm still hungry. Finally, this protein leaves a raunchy aroma in your shaker bottle- even when it's rinsed out right away. And GOD FORBID you forget your Veggie Elite protein shake in a warm car..... the stench will knock your socks off, so don't say I didn't warn ya :)
