We have the display in the kitchen. One remote is in the greenhouse, one is in our henhouse, the others will go in two other greenhouses. We sell our chicken eggs, and can't sell if they have frozen, which occasionally happens when temps go below zero. We also need to know greenhouse temps to know what will germinate in winter and what will need additional protection. Both areas are heated with compost systems, which keep daytime temps about 30 degrees warmer than outside. Works great for us.

Put one on three different levels of my house, works awesome. Forget about the negative accuracy reviews, at this price you should look at this as a comparative monitoring device, meaning how the temperature compares to other known devices, or does it fluctuate from hour to hour...etc. This is a great product for the price, they are definitely within a reasonable range for passive monitoring. If you want accuracy you need to spend hundreds on precision thermocouple devices.

This system does not work well in our big old commercial building. Does not have a very large effective radius, maybe only 25 feet in our building. If you have a small house with thin walls and don't have a lot of electronics it might work for you. Disappointed !!!
