How do you install these properly?
Sherman O Hess III✓ Verified PurchaseAugust 17, 2017
They are the size that I needed to replace my earpads, but they came with no instructions, and I was unable to figure out how to install them properly. I finally gave up, and used bits of rolled up duct tape to connect the ear pads to the head phones. Works well, but eventually, I"m thinking hot wax or super glue. There should be a way to attach them properly, but I just couldn't figure it out. As I have them, they work just fine. I do love these headphones. :)
but they feel like the original cushions

Really hard to put on, but they feel like the original cushions.
THE EAR PADS BY "IT IS" ARE TOO SMALL FOR ...
Ed Dennis✓ Verified PurchaseNovember 16, 2015
THE EAR PADS BY "IT IS" ARE TOO SMALL FOR THE BOSE OE2 ON EAR HEADPHONES. THE SKIRT INVARIABLY SEPARATES FROM THE CUSHION. I HAVE ATTEMPTED 4 TIMES WITH THE SAME RESULTS. IT'S BEEN MANUFACTURED TOO SMALL TO FIT.

Extremely Frustrated
poor quality, cloth screen issue
Stan✓ Verified PurchaseOctober 21, 2015
After 8 months the cloth screen on one of the pads became unglued and half of it is hanging out from the hole in the center of the pad. See attached photo.
Falls apart after 30 days, although Bose originals not a whole lot better
Hon Lee✓ Verified PurchaseOctober 19, 2015
The reason I bought these is because the original Bose pads came apart after about 18 months, and the Bose replacements pads cost about $40 which is totally ridiculous for a flimsy piece of rubber attached (VERY WEAKLY) to a piece of leather about as thick as Glad Wrap.

The replacements made by "It is" are certainly much cheaper but you get what you pay for: in the first instance they came apart after EXACTLY 30 days and I missed my opportunity to return them on Amazon and I didn't bother to insist on pursuing a 12 month warranty replacement which IMHO I should have been entitled to. So I reordered from It is since I expect to continue using my $200 pair of headphones without paying Bose's inflated parts prices.

I felt inclined to give It is a better rating because I think they are just doing their bit to make up for the customer exploitation that Bose dishes out, but a product that completely fails after 30 days shouldn't cost more than $5.

I would love to give Bose and "WTF Is This" both ZERO stars. In fact I actually think Bose deserves the bad rating more because they design all their products to fail, and cleverly this always seems to happen somewhere between 12-24 months so that you can't claim warranty. Then you have to buy the same flimsy rubber product again for $40 if you want the Bose original. You would think that in the year 2015 there would be materials that are both comfortable to touch and strong enough to last at least 5 years or more. Not to mention that Bose should design their products in a way that it's easy to replace these "consumable" parts without damaging the actual operational parts, and price them according to how quickly they degrade. This is a clear example of built-in redundancy, built to fail and exploit customers. Just like Apple with their super soft rubber cables and ever changing plug designs. I've lost count of the number of Bose ear buds I've thrown away because the flimsy rubber coating fell apart or the tiny thin copper wires started to fray. Bose are great audio engineers and make the best sounding headphones for an amount of money I'm prepared to spend on headphones, but I hate their packaging.
