I bought these about 6 months ago and have been using them under my dogs' cages to protect the floor. I like them and they protected the floor really well. If you're using it for the same thing I did, it isn't very easy to clean. When it gets dirty, its hard to clean in between all the cracks and grooves. It also had a really really horrible smell when I first got them. It was so bad it stunk up the hole room for about a week, even with windows open and fan on. After about a week or so, the smell went away and they served the purpose.

Another dog owner checking in. I needed a way to keep my dog from destroying my couch when I left for work. I've been using it for about 6 months now, and it still has a 100% success rate. My dog has not gone on the couch at all. He doesn't even try to take the throw pillows off it. He doesn't want anything to do with this thing.

All I had to do was cut it to size with a pair of scissors. Now I leave it on my couch, spike side up, everyday before work. When I get home, I roll it back up and store it under the couch.

As a sidenote, I think it would work well for its intended purpose as well.

Great quality but it moves around and bunches up when you walk on it. I liked this model compared to some other models I was looking at because this runner is clear and not cloudy.

I think if the nibs were deeper maybe it wouldn't move around on the area rug that I have it on. In any case, this runner is protecting our rug and it is serving its purpose.

EDIT June 19, 2017: Here's the solution to the rug moving around. Purchase the 3M Anchor Rug System pack and attach at least two corners to the floor and the problem will be solved. My runner is now stationary and looks much better. Make sure you do this little fix because if the runner moves around on your nice rugs, it will fray the fibers over time which is what happened to one corner of our rug.

EDIT July 11, 2017: Ignore the first edit. The 3M anchor system lasted maybe a few weeks and then the adhesive part that was attached to the runner just came off and now the runner bunches up again. I don't think there is any fix to this unless you use a runner that is the same size as the rug itself. I'm still trying to find a solution to keep the runner flat but I have no idea what would work.

EDIT August 1, 2017: I dropped this review to three stars because upon closer inspection of my nice dining room rug, this runner damaged the edging because every time it would bunch up, the little nubs would grab the tight threading on the edge. I removed this runner from that area and put it away in the garage. I purchased a rubber-backed mat from Armor All; the same mat I have on my garage floor, and am happier with that. Ideally, I would like a clear mat to show the rug underneath but all the clear mats look like this one and will probably damage the rug like this one. My cousin uses these mats on his upstairs carpet and they actually bunch up the same way. There really needs to be a way to anchor these but I don't know how they would design them to stay put. These are designed to bunch up.

First off, let me say I never thought I'd be the lady with the vinyl runner down her hall but I have lots of animals, kids running around and I live in the middle of a forest so the carpet was just getting thrashed and I got tired of shampooing it. So, I ordered this runner, laid it down and I'm soooo happy I did. Good quality, got here quickly, laid out easily and my carpet and I have never been happier.

In fact I'm gonna get a few more in different sizes for other problem areas.

I've walked out of the local home improvement stores when I saw their poor quality runners. Theirs have tiny perforations every 12 inches or so. Nice I guess If you are selling the product, but not so good if you are buying it. The perforations tend to rip easily after you walk on the runner after a short time.

NO PERFORATIONS on this runner! Love it, all one long length and heavy duty and thick. It laid quite flat right out of the box and onto my carpet. I was happy to finally found the quality runner I was searching for, right here on Amazon as always. The ribs are a nice length and grab onto my carpet with no moving at all. Great quality and value product. If you are searching for the best vinyl runner for your carpet, THIS IS IT!
