Good, but makes noises
Ben Torre✓ Verified PurchaseDecember 23, 2017
I bought this for my first ever gaming rig and finished the build about two months ago. everything worked well at the time and the power supply is more than enough to handle my power-hungry processor and graphics card. After using the PC daily I have started to notice (within the past week) a faint buzzing/clicking coming from the unit. It still works just as well as it did brand new but the sound is a little unnerving. I'm not sure if it's faulty fan bearings or something electrical making the racket but it is certainly audible in my quiet room.

Would I recommend this? Yeah I would, to an entry level PC builder like myself. However, I wouldn't trust the longevity of this product. Seeing how I have only had it for a short time and developed this issue already, i'll be looking at a replacement soon.
It's alright, but spring for the Bronze version to avoid issues

Got this on sale, otherwise I might return it. It's very loud compared to the bronze counterpart. Like, I get this is the lower end model, but this thing shouldn't be THAT loud. Their support offered to RMA it for me but I have to pay 15 bucks to ship it, which is half of what I paid for it. Not to mention I'll get a used one in return and from what I read online the noise level is normal.
Good power supply

Good power supply. Does exactly what a power supply is supposed to do. Under normal conditions it is whisper quiet. Mounting will fit perfectly in normal width ATX and micro ATX cases with the power supply mounted in the top of the case. I like the fact that it has a large fan at the bottom that is lined up with the processor. Pulls the warm processor air right out.
Great price for what it is!

Cant beat that price, people here are complaining as usual but they don't seem to grasp that they went cheap and bought this. I went cheap and bought this and I am more than satisfied with this product. It does what I need it to do, I don't have a complex build on my pc, but if I were to go complex I would still have a few connectors available. Great product, does what its intended to do. Couldn't ask for more for the PRICE I paid.
Does not provide 430 W as rated

I dont know how many stars to give. Maybe 2. Now I have to write this review quite fast before the power supply turns off on me. I purchased the EVGA power supply a few months ago as a spare part to have it on hand when the older one dies. That happened last week after a power surge. I happily replaced the older 350 W power supply. Computer worked fine for 1 day or so, then it turned off without any reason. First I suspected some crappy applications, but no, the power failure starte to occur now and then, no matter what I was running. Now that is very annoying, today computer stopped twice. My desktop PC is rather simple - a mootherboard, a cheap video card (no gaming), a firewire PCI card, nothing to suck much power. The older 350 W power supply was just fine, but it developed a noise. The EVGA is quiet, but apparently cannot deal with 2-300 W or less required by my PC to run. Okay, luckily computer didnt crash. I am going to hit Submit.
