The 10x/1x lighted mirror that I had been using the past 12 years just died, and I was faced with replacing it asap. I ordered a rechargeable one from Amazon, and its magnifying side was very distorted. Then I went to a local store and purchased one that used batteries. It was too dim and small.

Finally, I learned the ZADRO name and started researching them. I put several different ZADRO mirrors in my cart and then decided on this one, which cited BRIGHT light.

It took more than a week, but when it arrived, I was astounded! Wonderful bright bright light, large viewing area, and adjustable height are perfect for my aging eyes. I have cataracts starting to form, and I guess I didn't realize how difficult it is to see in a mirror without very bright light. This light shows everything! And that's a good thing. I need to see those little hairs, blemishes, and makeup creases BEFORE I get out in public! I also think that the adjustability will be a plus in applying eye liner, which is easier looking down into the mirror.

I will note that I considered the LED versions of this brand, which offer dimming and varied light settings. But dimmable is not important to me. I can look in any other mirror in the house and see what I look like in dim light! I need the brightest light, and I wanted a replacement for less than $100. This one fit the bill perfectly.

This replaced my expensive name brand ( can't remember ) lighted mirror I had for year from Bed Bath and Beyond. It's way brighter than that every was. I like bright lights. This mirror has bright led lights. I like the way the mirror arm goes up and down and in and out. It goes pretty high which I like because my vanity is short and I am tall. I love how it flips to the 1x or 10x easily. So far it has been working perfectly for 6. I like the little holding area in front for your tweezer. I would recommend this one for sure.

Love this mirror for several reasons: You can adjust the mirror up and down and this helps with the fact that you have no control over your seat height vs surface height. The 10X magnification side is not some tiny little piece of mirror but rather the whole side of that mirror. You flip from one side of the mirror (magnification to normal) to the other and it has a small tray for things you use often...ie hydrating eye drops. IVE UPDATED MY REVIEW: Initially I said, "The only draw back is the short cord." UPDATE: I've discovered that the cord is wrapped up underneath the base. I had my original one for so long I forgot that the cord wraps underneath.

Back to my original reveiw: My first Zadro mirror traveled everywhere with me and it had a long cord/plug so I could use it in any space. But because I traveled so much with it, it eventually cracked but only along the top. What took it out of the game and caused me to have to buy a new one is that I blew it by plugging it into a European plug (even though I used the converter). With the shorter plug, I now need to also carry an extension cord to overcome any challenging spaces with regard to electric plugs and sitting space.
