Nice solar pump

Set this up in my backyard pond. It started working right away. On a good sunny day, it charges enough to run through the night.

Working great. I use this in a barrel of water used to water plants. I add bags of compost to the water and wanted it oxygenate it.

Pump came with do directions or other information about it. Most mechanical items have some information about the care and operation of the product. Pump seems to work well, but all we did was test it so far. Hopefully it holds up to our use, but with no information about its operation, we won't know if we are using it correctly.

I was looking for a way to aerate my pond with a solar air pump so I wouldn't have to run my waterfall. After looking at several options, this one stood out because it was compact, had a large battery (so it would work after the sun went down) and had positive reviews. I set it up yesterday and saw great airflow. I checked after dark and still saw great flow. And the next morning before the sky brightened I still saw good airflow. While the clear tubing is sufficiently long for my purposes, I think I'll try to find some black tubing to minimize the visual impact. A very minor point and in no ways a ding on this product.

Have had for a few days now and the battery finally drained after having on constantly for 3 days/nights. I have mine in a a location that only receives direct afternoon sun for a few hours a day in mid summer. Today is overcast and aerator has been cycling on/off occasionally. I'd say this is pretty good in that with a few hours of July New England sun it can power through the night. Best time to aerate is when the pond is sunny anyways. Time will tell how long the battery lasts before needing replacing, but so far so good. I have a 125 gallon preform pond I setup a week ago with a couple of goldfish in it. Fish seem to be okay. I might buy a second one next year if I continue to like.
