so I used a hot glue gun every few inches to secure the strip better. Instead of buying multiple lower quality power supplies ..
Jasmin Pasic•June 7, 2017
I bought 4 of these strips because I needed about 60 ft for my deck and they worked out perfectly. The adhesive on the back is not very strong to hold the strip, so I used a hot glue gun every few inches to secure the strip better.
Instead of buying multiple lower quality power supplies for these strips, I opted for a 100w weather resistant power supply from Super Bright LEDs. Important thing here is not to chain the LED strips, but run a power feed for each one, otherwise you'll notice a drop in brightness. I soldered all the connections and used liquid electrical tape to make sure no moisture gets in. While the power supply is rated for outdoors, I decided to buy a weather proof electrical box from Amazon for a more professional installation, so that everything can stay nice and dry.

Accent lighting for your home!
Mike N•April 24, 2017
Perfict for accent lighting or simple outside lighting around your home. The pictures provided show you what I did with 3 (6 section - each section is 3 led chips) strands, these are way brighter than the picture shows. The double sided tape held ok but added some tape to the ends (cables soddered point) to reinforce sticky and all working As ment to. I added a dimmer controller to them so that they can be dimmed while in the hot tub or increased when out at a fire. Proved around 15+ width of lighting at 7ft high (guestamtion on the width). Highly recommend for outside lighting.
Great Lights, but not 'Warm White'
Mike•April 22, 2017
I purchased these to add to the existing 12v lightscaping in my back yard. For the price, I doubt they can be beat. Each string has a female plug end, and a bare 2-wire end (super tiny, like 18 or 20g), out of the box. I spliced the bare wire end to leads from my transformer (which are much larger 14g) with waterproof wire nuts. There is a clearly marked + and - wire, so the 12v+ wire attaches to the common wire from your transformer. I managed to damage one of the strings slightly while trying to screw it down with the 8mm clips that fit it"”my impact driver slipped and pierced the clear rubber enough to kink/tear some of the circuitry underneath. The string still works, though! They're super bright, as well. I added a string to the underside of each of two wide step-downs on my back deck, and without any other lights on in the yard, they're enough to navigate by; probably even more than I needed. Time will tell on durability, both strings are out and exposed to the elements full time.
The only star I'm taking away is for color"”they're not daylight/blue light, in fact they're super clear crisp white-white, but not 'warm white' like would match the rest of my light elements, no where near the color on the box.

Surprisingly whiter than the non-waterproof LE warm whites

I wanted to leave a description of what I received.
This is my first "Warm White" waterproof strip. I will likely get installed in the next neighbor's pantry I illuminate. Until now the pantries have been getting the waterproof daylight white LE brand.
The non-waterproof warm white has more yellow in it. That being said this light is more of a soft white. It casts almost no discoloration to reds. I actually like the tone. It is definitely on the yellow side of the spectrum when you set it along side the Daylight Whites. It just is not as yellow as the non-waterproof LE string.
For now I will post a photo of the different LE colors I have.

I've tried over 10 different brands and types of LED Strips from Amazon, Home Depot, LED Stores, everywhere.
The LED's are always great, but avoid the headache of dealing with the sticky adhesive on the back. It'll stick then sloooowly start to hang or sag down and you'll notice yourself pushing it on all the time. Grab a hot glue gun and some glue during your initial setup (on Amazon for $15 or less) and use small amounts across the strip as you're sticking. This is way more permanent and you can sleep better at night knowing it's not going to become undone.
