I bought this for my son's older XBOX360. He has a lot of downloadable content and needed a hard drive. I read the warnings others had posted about drives being dead on arrival, but this one had no problems. I just unplugged the power, firmly pushed the drive in place, and plugged it back in. The system partition was already there, so all I had to do was install a few Microsoft updates and all was well. NO COMPLAINTS!

This product worked perfectly for my Xbox 360. It was very well packaged and I slipped it into my xbox right away to find out that it was exactly what I was expecting. When I go to my storage it says that I now have about 106 GB instead of the 0Gb that I had before so this will be very helpful. I would definitely recommend buying this product and I would buy from this company again.

Needed an HDD for the latest update and this one fit the bill. Plugged it in, powered it up, and bam. Three minutes later the updates were done and I was enjoying my games again.

Originally gave it three stars. It lasted 5 months and died. I'll be dropping the extra few bucks for the official one now.
Be aware this is not a Microsoft product. I popped the case open and it is the WD 1200BEVS hdd that is suggested for use in a 360. Its got a 2011 manufacture date and some odd stickers on it so I'd guess it was a salvage or refurb. I was hesitant to put it in but it seems to be working. How long it will last is the question...

Everytime I turn my console off and turn it on again, the drive unformatts and I have to redownload all my stuff. It deleted my offline saved games that I can never get back. This product is not worth any money unless you never turn off your console.
