Since I read some of the review about the kid easier to find out the way to remove the cover. I intentionally never remove the cover in front of my 15 months. So she didn't get the idea to remove the cover but reaching with long finger/tool.
Works great so far and easy to install.

Does the job. I couldn't tell what to expect from the picture.
I originally thought I'd have to give it 3 stars, as it seems like it could be ripped off pretty easily. But one try and our 2 year old quit. We've had it on for 6 months now without an issue. And believe me, that kid LOVES light switches! So this is saying something.
We knocked it off a couple times carrying large items down the stairs, but it didn't break (amazingly) and is still going strong.

This light switch guard has worked *beautifully* on both my 2 and 3 year olds, but is easy enough to get around that my 7 year old can still turn on the light if he needs to. It's easy to install (really easy), easy to pop on and off, and utterly confounding to toddlers. The one minor problem I can note is that the transparent cover can be a little hard to spot if it falls on the floor, which is especially a problem when an adult doesn't realize they've dropped it and then steps on it. That will break it into sharp plastic shards, so just take care not to do that. I like it enough, though, that I'm buying another to replace the cover part.

This worked awesomely for 3-4 nights with our 2- and 3-year olds who just started sharing a room. They haven't even remotely tried to fiddle with it yet. The 3-year-old will definitely try at some point and eventually succeed (I'm thinking either jiggling the casing enough that it wiggles out or sticking something like a pencil in there to get the switch flipped), but I hope that's a long way out!

It's actually a pretty good idea and totally worth a try (even 3 nights was worth the small investment and quick install to me!). The reason I'm saying it works "less" now is only because the kids figured out how to prop open curtains that let some light from a nearby parking lot light shine in to enable more silliness before bed, but it's no fault of the product itself and the relative darkness it still creates has subdued things quite a bit from the previous antics. :)

Go ahead and buy this - it's definitely worth a shot! And portable, too, really, if you need to take it when traveling. Just bring a screwdriver, too. :)

I'm so happy this product even exists! I give it 4 stars instead of 5 just because I think the design for the front part that pinches in could possibly be a little more secure/less wiggly.

These were purchased because my daughter's Bengal cats turn on the garbage disposal to get attention. The are perfect for keeping the cats off the switches, although she is careful not to let the cats see her turn them on! If you have a tiny hands, it is a bit of a stretch to flip the light or garbage disposal switch. (I guess this is the whole idea of keeping kids fingers off the switches). She installed two side by side on a double switch.
They do the job great and were a snap to install. Highly recommend for kids and cats alike!
