I order these regularly & normally they arrive with cooler packs & everything is good; howerver, I just got an order of 48 of them with no cooler packs & it's 90°F + here so they are all melty. That really sucks because if I put them in the fridge they get too hard & at room temp they solidify more but since they melted, there are tons of chocolate flakes stuck to the wrapper when I open them. These flakes get all over my clothes & my baby's clothes if I'm nursing her, which really makes them not very convenient to eat while on the go, which is the whole purpose of me buying them. Very disappointed. 😞

A few days ago I would have given this 5 stars. I have been eating the Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough (one of the few I could eat) for years. Always careful to check the ingredients. I never had a problem eating them. This morning I could have died!!!! They now have peanut butter in them. I said I had not eaten anything I was allergic to but decided to double check the ingredients. And there it is "Peanut Butter". WHY ! It did not need peanut butter to be good. But most of all why change a product without making sure it is on the outside of the box?

I've been eating Zone bars over 10 years. I love the dark chocolate with almonds & Peanut Butter is my favorite but the Oatmeal Chocolate chip is delicious! I couldn't find the Oatmeal Choc Chip easily at first because they were a new flavor so I ordered here. I actually eat on the "Zone" everyday so these are my goto bars for a quick breakfast or snack. The Oatmeal Choc Chip are easier to eat on the go than the peanut butter because there soft and chewy. The only thing I can't seem to verify is Dr Sears who created the Zone Diet doesn't sell any of the Zone Bars you can get in your local stores & on Amazon so I can't confirm if these are "Zone Approved ". I do know I only knew about these when I discovered the Zone Diet years ago and assume they are still a Zone approved product.

I like the product, but getting it from Amazon is a mistake. The expiration date is just a few months away - as opposed to the bars in my local grocery store that have an expiration date a year from now. The difference in quality is significant. The Amazon bars are hard and dry, with chocolate that has whitened and overall flavor that is stale - compared to the grocery store bars that are soft, flavorful and delicious. I'll stick with buying them locally even though it is more expensive.

This is the second box of Zone Perfect Chocolate Almond Raisin flavor that I have received where the chocolate has started to turn a lighter (whitish) color and is not smooth and it really crumbles when you take a bit and the chocolate goes all over the place. I have ordered several boxes of them and only two have been this way. The date on the box was not outdated. These taste like they are starting to turn bad. Not sure if they are stored in a place that is not the right temperature or why they are not right upon receipt.
