I got just what I was wanting a radio for my spot at work. The only prob is the post where the antenna attaches is a weak spot mine broke after a wk of use. But its no big prob I just went down to radio shack and picked one up.

This boombox was a hit with my son. He loves it, but there are a few small issues with it that you should be aware of.

First the pros - This stereo has good sound. The lights are a great feature, and my autistic son loves anything with lights and this was a great feature. The digital tuner is nice, and holds a signal. Reception on the radio is very good in fm mode. The cd player works well. The bluetooth works very well.

The cons - The stereo is VERY large. It has a carry strap, bit it is not really very portable. It is best suited to sit on a shelf or table. The volume always starts out at level 10, so you have to be ready to turn it down immediately when you turn it on. Seems like they could make it come on at the last volume level it was used at, but I guess not. Even the lowest volume level on this stereo is still pretty loud. You would not want this in your office because some office settings even level one volume would be too loud. Am reception is not so great, but the kids never use that band, so I am not counting it against it.

If I d relied on all the negative reviews I never would have bought it,I'm glad I did. And let me tell you why. I think that its childish children writing such bad reports f disappointment,because for 106$ this little machine is pretty awesome in my book. I've been an electronics nut for a long long time and am pretty judgemental when it comes to junk that breaks quick or is flimsy. I was pretty set back when I read all the bad that was said about it. The air on a few reports. One was amount of USB recognition,in my test approximately the first 1000 songs will be playable.volume,was good ,not the loudest,not the bassist extreme,but the bass is there noticeably and did not distort at max volume in most instances.with batteries its a bit heavy yes,the strap is heavy duty ,no worries.light display is nice and bright. If you are only going to play rap music this is not for you,but I you're going to play country or rock this sounds great. Rap people go get a jvc kaboom,because that's the only thing that will satisfy that requirement. I'm very happy with it and give it 5 stars.

At first I was displeased with the sound of this unit, but after it broke in I became very pleased for the money I spent. I would dare anyone to find a better brand new unit for the money that can beat this one. The CD player does slightly cut out the very beginning of songs though which is why I'm rating this with a four out of five rather than a five.

Wanted to use for out doors and satisfied with the product. Just wish it had a carrying handle instead of a strap but overall I really like the box.
