It worked well for a while, easy to install and a simple solution. However, NOT for bigger dogs...our big dogs tried to go through ti together one time and completely tore the screen resulting in needing to replace the entire screen. If it was just the small dogs its fine, but our bigger dogs could not be gentle with it. it was nice while it lasted though.

Works great! My cats destroyed my screen so we replaced it and put cat door in right away. Took a little coaxing to get them to use it but once they figured it out they loved it. I would lock it when I wanted them to stay in and they couldn't understand why the door wouldn't open for them.
Seems to be sturdy. It has been in our door all summer and never came apart.....and it gets used a lot. Our dog (cocker spaniel) even uses it.
When you snap the front and back pieces together be sure to use a mallet so you get them good and tight.
I would recommend and I would also buy again.

It's a little stiff when it swings and "swatted" my little dog in the tail as she went out and scared her! Now she's a bit timid to use it. But it's a good size and my 15 pound cats come and go with no trouble.
