I love this product.

I cannot imagine why I have read bad reviews for this product. If the film doesn't stick, it has to be because the backing was not removed. I also had a label that was on the actual film rather than the backing. It was not that hard to remove. I just picked at it with my nail until I got an edge lifted and I pulled the sticker off. I used scissors to cut the pieces to size. I used an X-Acto knife to do final trimming on one side, which was the only place that needed to be trimmed. I also used scissors to cut a pattern across this film so that I could place it on the top and the bottom of my bathroom windows, leaving a space in the middle so I could see out. In total, I cut seven pieces of film to cover my windows. I have three windows in my front door and I cut four pieces for the bathroom windows. I am in my mid 60s and had no problems. I will be ordering another roll so I can do the lower half of the windows in my bedroom. This film gives me all the privacy I could want while still allowing light to get in. It is raining outside and I think you can still tell about the light.
I just realized that this acts as window insulation also. There is a noticeable difference on the bathroom windows where the film is versus where it is not. A surprising added benefit of this window film.

It looks as good as the day we put it on

I have had this window film on my front door now since September 2015. It is now the end of June 2016. This stuff does exactly what it says it does. We didn't have any trouble putting it on. You just have to follow the instructions and use plenty of soapy water. It hasn't faded or turned colors. It looks as good as the day we put it on. The pictures attached are from today's date...almost a year after installing. The reason i am just now putting this review on is because I am back to buy some more for my bathroom and a window upstairs that I do not want a full curtain on the window but would like some shield from the hot sun coming in the window. Money well spent. I see some people have had trouble peeling off the back...We cut 2 small pieces of duct tape and placed on the corner on both sides and pulled. Worked fantastic. Peeled right off.
Love it!!!

I LOVE how this looks.
However, this is problem I have:
There is a stricker, that is not necessary on the roll - and I was not able to remove it, so I cut off the first 4-ish inches - thinking I would have enough for a 10 pane glass door - and I would have - had I not cut one of the panes just a tad too small. So now I am ordering ANOTHER roll for the 1 pane that I still need to cut.
If that impossible to remove sticker was not on there for me to waste the first 4 inches, I would have enough and would have given it more stars.
The seller commented on my review that this sticker is not on the front of the film, but is on the back piece of the film that you peel off. It is not. I order 2 more rolls because I needed one to finish the door and decided to to a strip of Windows above the door and to the sides and wanted to make sure I had enough. I am attaching 2 images which clearly show the sticker in on the window film itself on ALL 3 ROLLS which will have to be cut off (2 of them I cut off already) It is on the film, not the backing that peels off.
UPDATE: The seller is wonderful and has commented and contacted me immediately to help with the situation of the annoying sticker. I used a blow dryer on the 3rd one and the sticker did come off. It took a bit of time, but it did come off. If you happen to get a roll with a sticker; use a blow dryer. Apparently, the sticker is not suppose to be on the film, but it is suppose to be on the backing that you peel off - which would not be an issue. So my review has been updated to reflect the fact that mine were defective and the seller is remedying the issue. Had there not been a sticker issue, I would have given this 5 stars before, but as now that I have it all up, it is beautiful - and looks professional - so updating my review to 5 stars.
It was easy to cut to fit - I used a cutting mat, a straight edge, and a roller cutter. However, it did take some time. Do not rush and measure twice before cutting. If you have never done this before, cut the film a tiny bit larger than the opening you are measuring as the edges will go up under your window panes, and you will not have any "not covered" edges showing when the light shines through. Also, a small razor or craft knife helps in the corners if there is any window gunk (I think it is the glazing glue from when the windows are put in the panes).
The backing was difficult for me to remove until I read in a customer comment to take 2 pieces of tape and put one on one side and one opposite on the other facing each other and put them together - except for the small end you hold - and pull them apart and it comes right off.
Once up, it really looks like glass. Even when the sun shines through this during the day it casts rainbows like crystal does. At night it has more of a frosted look. It is very good at being a privacy film. You can not see into the house even at night with the lights on, which is what I was after. At night you can see someone in there - but you can not see any details. So, basically, I could be in my Jammie's and no one would be able to tell what I was or was not wearing. The more I look at it, the more I love it.

Beautiful enhancement to our master bathroom!

This is so beautiful. I received it quickly and put it up the next day without any issues. I had plenty on the roll to cover both windows but my husband and I decided that we didn't want to block the entire view outside. As you can see, I covered the bottom window entirely then the top window up to a point where we could still see out. I carefully cutout some of the design to make a transition. I think it turned out wonderful. I may even consider doing other windows and wouldn't hesitate buying this product again. The bonus is that it is also so reasonably priced and shipping with Amazon Prime makes the whole transaction 5 stars!
A great solution for adding privacy while still allowing light into your room!
TetonMom✓ Verified Purchase•December 9, 2015
So easy to install & very pretty. I was looking for something for my door to give me some privacy from the neighbors while still allowing light to come in. This turned out to be a great solution! I'm in a rental so I didn't want to put any holes in the door with hardware. This film came in a nice roll & after I had my measurements, I used a box cutter blade to cut it to size. Then I cleaned the window really well, mixed a little dish soap with water in a spray bottle, saturated the window & applied the film. I then cut away the excess so it fit tightly into the window space & sprayed the outside of the film before using a squeegee to smooth it all out. It has stayed on without any problems. It will give you completely privacy and, as other reviews have mentioned, fills the room with colorful rainbows when the sun hits it making it really beautiful. I'm very happy I went with this film over a curtain. I highly recommend this product to anyone looking to add some privacy to a window.
