Device connection didn't work and they have no support. Sign your privacy & your rights away, too. Invasive phone app.

1. Buyer beware! This device can only work with your phone app, and it requests every permission possible. What possible use does a smart socket have for access to my camera & all my files & contacts! NONE!
If you read their user agreement, you are giving them full, unlimited use of any "user content" that their app might give them. Furthermore, you are signing away your right to sue them for anything they might due wrong; not that it would do you any good, since they are in CHINA.
2. This device comes with absolutely NO INSTRUCTIONS. The box includes a simple statement that basically tells you to load their app, then use the app to set up the device. OK...but that didn't work. Not at all, it failed on the very first step. Their "App" doesn't include any follow up, support, nor any user help whatsoever. When it fails, their app only tells you to do it again. And again, ...and again...and again...
3A. Fundamentally: this didn't work with my phone (Samsung S4).
3B. There is no support whatsoever to figure out why it didn't work. Their website doesn't offer any support at all, except some FAQ files written for that product in "Chenglish" that fail to address the problem where it doesn't connect to your phone, the very first step. You would think they could afford to pay someone with better English skills to proofread their FAQ's, too.

I've read a bunch of reviews on this product. I even tested out the app that people said they were using which was called Wiwo. I liked the fact that it did not run in the background of my phone and hog up memory. The product I received required a different app that does run in the background and takes up memory. After testing it, I was only able to get it to turn on and off and the countdown timer to work. None of the other features would work properly and even to get the countdown timer to work, I had to activate it on my phone every time.
Functional Switch controlled by iPad ; difficult to program. but worth the effort.

Difficult to find correct app from iPad app store. Finally did google search and found correct app. Search for orvibo homemate app and Homemate comes up with homemate symbol. I tried WiWo app ; does not work with S25 Plug. Note the Orvibo website does not help.
The Orvibo Web Site has a link to take you to app store - but it does not function.
= So both switches are functioning and linked to wife's iPad,
Note programming is a little complicated, during program device has to locate switch on wi-fi then ; then you will need to switch back to your home router and enter router key and password. Wife was getting frustrated that it took so long to find correct app and work through the settings
But she is happy now that they work as designed.

I purchased this item and I was very impressed. It came in a nice package I felt like I was opening an Apple product. The directions were simple. Super easy to set up. It worked the very first time. It works with my Amazon Alexa Echo. My six year old loves playing with it. It comes in very handy and it's a fun party trick.
Pros: easiest set up. Small. Seems to be well made. It worked very first time. I've had no issues with it. I would definitely recommend this to my friends and family.

Let me start by saying that I wish all my outlets were like this! It was so easy to set up with my phone, and then plug in and that was it. I could turn whatever was plugged in, off or on with a quick swipe. I did not notice any delay when doing so. I would recommend anyone with a need to control something remotely on a schedule. The only thing I dislike is that there is only one outlet space, but I guess it could be confusing if you had 2. Either way, I really like it!
