This brace should be labeled medium, I need one that is larger

The brace was designed for someone that has small hands. The thumb strap was a little uncomfortable and the first strap was to short no way to adjust for comfort, I use it without that strap.
EXCELLENT BRACE FOR BROKEN BONES IN HAND

I broke my right wrist in 3 different places. The navicular, the scaphoid and the metacarphal. I was in a hard cast for over 6 months and then several braces. I'm still having a lot of swelling and can't use or bend my thumb. I needed something would stabilize my thumb. I read each review of this brace. I bought it bc it was what i needed and this is what i found. The brace is PERFECT for my needs. As far as the complaints about the straps being too long, this is actually good bc you can adjust it to your needs and then simply cut off the excess which is what i did. Second complaint, the metal stabilizers are leaving indentations in my skin, i took out the metal rod in the thumb. I still wear the brace comfortably and even without the metal rod, my thumb is still comfortably stabilized and I'm unable to bend it, which is exactly what i needed. I accidentally left this brace at work over the weekend and was forced to wear the one my orthopedist gave me and i was surprised that i really missed this brace bc it helps so much more with the pain, and everything else. It is BY FAR,
SO MUCH BETTER than the one that cost me over $100. Do yourself a favor and try this one. Worst case, return it if it's not for you. I was really close to not buying this one, bc of the reviews. THANK GOD I DID. :)

I really wanted to like this wrist brace with thumb spica. It's exactly what I need to cope with my Kienbock's wrist and carpal tunnel syndrome. The brace fit well, had accurately placed metal supports, and was comfortable. Unfortunately, the hook and loop closures on both the wrist and thumb were too long to close the brace without hanging over. Only the middle wrist wrap has loop material all around the brace, as shown in description. But, what cannot be seen in the photo are the top and bottom closures. Even extended for a large wrist, the hook fabric is too long for the loop part. I thought about cutting them, but I'd rather not. So, I'm returning it to look for something more suitable. This might work ok for someone with a larger wrist. It is a nice brace. I gave three stars for comfort because of the issue with the straps. Sorry.
Great value, very sturdy, BUT not very comfortable

This is a good brace. It helped a lot with my de quervain's syndrome (thumb pain) because it immobilizes the thumb very well. It also goes down the wrist to the forearm pretty far for more immobilization. HOWEVER, there are metal bars that go down the sides that make it kind of uncomfortable. I spent a lot of time trying to mold these bars so that they are more comfortable, but they are very solid and hard to bend. I took one star off solely because of this, as the lack of comfort made it hard for me to want to keep wearing it. Finally, the position that it immobilizes your thumb in puts your thumb somewhat below the rest of your hand, which makes it impossible to type on a computer while wearing the brace.
Pros:
- Good build quality (sturdy)
- Good value for money
- Good thumb support
Cons:
- Metal bars make it uncomfortable
- Metal bars are hard to mold to your thumb
- Can't type with the brace on due to thumb position

Helps to heal my thumb

Nice and sturdy brace. I got this because I've been having horrible hand pains while picking up my newborn. This brace gets the job done. Only problem is that it's not flexible at all in the arm part of it and it's difficult for me to pick up my little one now. But I use it in between so that my thumb can heal and it's been helping a lot.
