Be careful what you wish for...

Although the price is reasonable, the value is questionable. The processor is not at all fast, and Windows 10 seems very sluggish. I added an 8Gb DIMM and a SSD, and it helped...but not to the extent I had hoped. I intend to use it as a remote desktop for my server, and it should be sufficient. But even with all the add-ons, the Atom processor can barely get out of its own way. BTW... it is extremely quiet, especially with the SSD.

Have a pair of these running pfsense for friends/family's internet firewalls. Small form factor and low power usage when paired with a SSD. Would give it 5 stars if only these came with 2x intel NICs onboard.
Good economical server

Initial impression good. Perfect for the intended role as a backup server. Minimal Debian Jessie installed to internal eMMC with 3G to spare. Added an internal HDD. CPU usage 50-60% with iftop showing 320-340 Mb during rsync transfers.
Bad Sata cable I think

Perfect fit!

Very reliable, no moving parts (fans). Easier to configure than some of the other NUCs. I am using the VGA port. It runs 24/7. No heat and it takes up no space.
