Perfect fit for chainlink fence

Used for the top of my dog kennel which is a retriever brand dog kennel with galvanized tubular steel pipes for the framework. I estimate the pipes are about 0.75 inches in diameter. I used an open ended wrench to install. I did not have a socket set that was deep enough to cinch these nuts down. The "bolt" portion is incredibly long for the size pipe I had. I'm not sure why it's so long, really. If it were shorter it would have really cut down on my install time., by allowing me to use my impact. This is why I dropped it one star for install. Otherwise these work great and I'm very happy with my purchase and would buy them again regardless of the added install time.

These are great for corners and end posts or any post really. Had a couple of larger posts. Just removed u-bolt and used wire. Ordered two bags and was shorted one. One bag was short a u-bolt. The other bag was short an insulator.

One of my turn out pens runs along the side of the welded pipe riding arena. Thats fine .... except my fat horse loves to rub his big butt on the pipe fence. He has broken a number of welds loose.
But finally I discovered these insulators. We added them to the fence and I turned him into the pen this morning. He quickly trotted to the fence ready to enjoy his morning scratching.....so I turned on the electric fence and he got off those pipes in a hurry. In about ten minutes he tried the fence again. I mean he loves scratching....he got shocked again.
Hopefully he won't find anything else to rub on !!!

Have bought snap on, screw on and now these this year.. A little more difficult to put on (time wise) than the other type, but appear to be a much better insulator. Will know better after one winter of them being installed.
