We live in Minnesota so digging time is done. Out of the box it has a great feel when holding it and seems very well made, I don't see any disappointment when I get to use it.

I love it! It is very sturdy where the handle is fastened to the blade; I have used it in some very hard dirt that bent our old one and it didn't phase it. Also, the handle is very comfortable to use - even without gloves.
