Look for a better lock.
Misty K.•March 31, 2018
I bought this in Feb 2017 and by Dec 2017 the battery had died with no warning, locking me out of my house. I had left my keys in the house and turned back to get it and I couldn't get back into my house. I called the locksmith and the lock pick could not unlock this door. I didn't have time to wait for the locksmith so we had to destroy the lock. This lock didn't even last a full year. It is not worth the savings, get a better lock.
You have been warned.

Do not buy this lock.
Immediately after installation, I was able to lock the door with the key ... but not unlock it. That's a major problem since the lock is installed on a shed door, and there's no other way in.
Don't believe that there is customer service available. There's not. You can't reach them by phone and can only fill out a form on their website -- but don't expect human contact. MiLocks' customer service is *amazingly* bad. Don't bother with this lousy lock, and lousy company.

there is an installation video that helped greatly and made the lock easy to install

I purchased this lock in 3 months ago, wanted to wait for some use before reviewing. The printed instruction sheets are incomplete and difficult to follow, but I was able to find complete instructions on the manufacturer's website, there is an installation video that helped greatly and made the lock easy to install. So far it's working well, not problems with the mechanical/electrical operation, the keypad and key options both work fine. I use this lock on an Airbnb property so the code gets changed often, that process is simple to do. The only negative is that I've started to notice the buttons with the most use are looking a bit worn down and duller than the rest, which over time may make it easy for people to figure out your code if you don't change it.
NOTE: this is NOT a smartlock, does not work with phone or remote options, keypad or key access only.

Very convenient and useful
Thor Allen•April 25, 2017
I have had this just over a month now, and it seems to work perfectly. It did not fit on my door, as i have a window in my door, with the slats running across it. I used a dremel tool to route out the area of the molding that was in the way, and made it fit. So if you have a door with a window in it, that runs all the way across it, this will not fit without some modification to the door. Besides that, very convenient and useful product. I give it five stars for working correctly.
Broke shortly after installation
Nate•February 18, 2017
Broke shortly after installation. Just after the return window ended. The deadbolt still functions manually and with the key, but the keypad produces nothing but a loud angry whirring noise and does not lock or unlock the door. It's too fragile to be worth installing. Get a regular deadbolt and save yourself a lot of money.
