I can honestly say I'm glad we made the purchase

After ordering and getting sent a dining room set instead of this chair and going through the trouble of returning the incorrect package and then buying the glider for a second time, I can honestly say I'm glad we made the purchase. We bought this glider for our nursery and I'm loving it so far. It was fairly easy to put together (came in 6 pieces- the ottoman, seat, cushion, arm rests (2), and back) and you just screw it together where the holes are lined up. Super comfortable chair and the gliding mechanics work well. Overall, a GREAT purchase for $300.
Super comfy and chic

This chair was very easy to put together by one person. Directions were simple. Chair glides and spins, ottoman glides only. Very comfy. Would order again. The only weird thing is the cushion you sit on sticks out over the chair, it's pushed as far back as it can go and it still hangs off. But it also looks that way in the product picture so it must normal! I'm 5'6 and its plenty big and deep for me.
My husband and I were looking for a good but reasonable chair

My husband and I were looking for a good but reasonable chair, so we could rock our new born in. We searched and searched and searched. Came across this one and I was sold. I got a great deal, and I could never have been happier. It's soft and comfortable. I love sitting in this chair. So does my husband. Whoever is holding baby gets to sit in the chair. Sometimes it feels like we're playing musical chairs in our house. At Thai time our son doesn't have a nursry ( working on that) so we have the chair in our living room. It looks great!. It cleans well ( I know that because it got a little spit up on it, and I was able to wipe it down with a rag and water) I only have two compaints. The chair has begun to squeak a little when we are rocking in it. Also the foot ottoman could be designed a little differently. It's a little smaller than I would have liked for one and for two it's not that stable. If I happen to put all of my leg weight on one side of the foot ottoman it will tip over. You have to make sure your feet are completely centered in the middle of the Ottoman. It's not a big problem for me because I didn't purchase the chair for the foot ottoman I purchase the chair for the chair. And the chair I love!! It was a bonus to have the foot ottoman. Other than that I find that I completely adore this chair it's super comfortable extremely soft and wipes up very nicely.
I wanted to add that I had read in quite a few reviews that people had trouble setting up the chair. That being said, my husband and I thought we'd time him while he put the chair together. It took him exactly 18 mins to put it together all alone. Not to rub it in but he said he could have done it a lot quicker if you used his own tools and not the tools that came with the chair. I don't know what the other reviewers are talking about when they say it's extremely difficult to put together or it's time consuming. I saw my husband put the chair together very quickly with my own two eyes. All in all I think it's a great chair. For nurseries or for living rooms! I love it so much I might possibly buy a second one!!

Easy to assemble if you don't over tighten at first! Looks beautiful!

I just had my husband assemble this chair for our little granddaughter's nursery in our home (she's moving in for awhile!) I was anxious to see if it was difficult - I was so glad that I had read all of the reviews, and I thank the man who wrote about not tightening the arms too much before screwing in the back part. i just cautioned my husband to not tighten the screws too tight at first, and everything worked out perfectly. i love the gray color, and because I'm short I just put a small pillow near my lower back. It glides quietly and swivels easily - I bought this chair instead of a cheaper glider because I eventually want to use it in our family room or living room. It is a bit big for our small room, so I will be storing the ottoman in the hallway. I think it will come in handy later when my grandkids want to sit on it.
Super happy with this chair

UPDATE: after actually using this chair for 2 months with a newborn I have an updated opinion. First, it's awkwardly wide. I'm 5'4" and 110lbs so for me, I find it hard to sit in. If you don't sit all the way back it tilts forward. Also, to nurse, I have to shift from side to side bc it's so wide. (However the width is beneficial when adding a toddler into the mix.) the arms are also too low to support me while breastfeeding which is frustrating, so I have to add a pillow. The back is also too low to rest my head- I have to scoot forward (causing it to tilt) and then rest my head.
Overall I like it enough to not return it. I purchased this for well below list price as I got an "opened box" version for $140. I would have been upset had I paid more. It looks good, though I'm noticing creases in the cushion after only 2 months. I find I don't need the ottoman as it makes rocking awkward. I would say this chair does not pass in terms of function for the newborn phase. Not comfortable to sit in for me,and I still need pillows. However I can see it being nice with toddlers; my older kids hop in it to read all the time and I fit with them. It has started creaking when I rock a certain way but I have not investigated to fix. So I would only recommend this chair if you get a super deal on it like me

Super happy with this chair. It was easy to put together though I did read reviews before so I left the arms loose and then put the back in place and everything lined up and took under 30 min solo. It does not squeak, has a nice rock/swivel and the ottoman is great. I'm 5'4" and find the back to be a little low. Not uncomfortably low, but I saw some reviews saying they rested their head comfortably at 6ft and I can't imagine that. I'm able to scoot forward a tad (the chair is plenty big to accommodate that) and then I can rest my head. The color is a sand, and seems easy to clean, though I did spray it with fabric protector. It came with some white metal parts that the directions make no mention of? Not sure where they go but the chair doesn't seem to need them. I also like that the ottoman covers all the metal underneath. The chair is bigger than I imagined which is not a con, just mentioning bc some reviews mentioned it's great for a small room. I like how big the chair is and feels like a solid piece. The seat is wide enough for me and my kids to sit comfortably. It is definitely on the firm side which I'm OK with but again thought it was worth mentioning. My ONLY knock is the arm rests seem very low, not uncomfortably low, but I will need some sort of a pillow for breastfeeding. I bought the chair "used" from the amazon factory and it stated "very good" condition and I'll say there is not a flaw noticed and it allowed me to get it for a terrific price so I would recommend that. Happy with my purchase. Cannot speak to how the cushions hold up over time yet but would recommend this chair!
