Don't expect too much!

Quality not great from 110 negs - still playing with it to try to get a better result.
Great, fast, slide and film conversion

Better than expected picture quality. I use this to view and convert film I develop at home for 4x6 prints. When I have a photo that I want to enlarge bigger I use a wet lab. But for 4x6 this is perfect.
The Scanza is great for what it was meant to do.

The Scanza does what I needed it to do. I had 60+ year old 8mm family film that was in pieces, no way to put them thru a projector. It was very tedious but I was able to scan each frame and use Microsoft's Movie Maker to recreate the video. My sister who was the star of this section was excited to see it. It was sometimes hard to fit the curled film into the tray but with a lot of patience and some tools (one end of a tweezer) to help it go under the edges of the tray, I was able to get most of the film scanned. If the pieces were too short - 3 to 4 frames - I was unable to get them into the tray because of the size of the scanning area on the tray - they would slip thru the opening. The view of the film on the screen looked dark and I was afraid it would be the same on the computer. But the resulting JPGs were much clearer and the colors were good (for 60 year old film) without using the corrections on the Scanza or having to adjust them with Photoshop Elements. Kind of expensive for about 1 minute of restored film, but at least I was able to save film that otherwise was un-viewable and lost for good. And I'm sure there is more film in the same shape that will be found. I have other ways to scan slides and 35mm film so I can't comment on that part of the product but I don't know why it wouldn't do the same.

The Scanza seems to be a decent little scanner. I'm a bit disappointed with the image quality produced by the Scanza because I was previously using a $3,000 scanner. I know I can't expect a $170 scanner to match a high-end scanner and it doesn't. If you want very high-quality scans, the Scanza is not the way to go.

The good news on the Scanza is that it works as advertised and is easy to use. The software works well and scans of slides are fast. You can make adjustments to your scan inside the Scanza and it is easy to transfer the images to a computer via the USB cable that is provided. It was also easy to connect the Scanza directly to a TV using the supplied HDMI cable.

I've only had my Scanza for a few weeks and there is one thing that worries me. The light is starting to flicker occasionally. It hasn't caused me a problem yet but I'm worried that it might stop working.
Excellent scanner, fast and high quality.

The seller was prompt and attentive. I received the scanner within 48 hours.
Regarding the scanner, three items:
1) You will need to buy an SD card. Get a 32Gig that is really fast.
2) With the 85 MBps SD card I purchased, each scan, at 22 Megapixels, takes 2 seconds.
3) Image quality. If you view the resultant scans on a 1920X1080 monitor or TV, you will really like the results. I use a 4K monitor, and even at full screen, the images are spot on. That being said, the overall quality is NOT as good as those from a Flatbed Scanner. I will try to find the time to post some side by side examples.
I have not tested the scanner for use with negatives, yet. Hopefully I will be able to do that soon and post some samples.
Summary, if you have a lot of slides and negatives to scan, the speed is amazing, and the quality is excellent.
