This yeast is added to my heated, cool/cold recipes. For several months I have followed a low carb vegan food plan - and I love it. I was a vegetarian for most of my adult life and do not try to get plant-based food to taste like or mimic animal products. I avoid soy products and artificial cheese. Still, for anyone needing a little taste of cheese, this nutritional yeast could satisfy that need as it does have a sort of cheesy taste. It mixes easily to every dish I have prepared. Storage is not a problem and has an excellent shelf life. Bonus is the 5Gms of protein per serving. I sometimes travel and must eat out. It was difficult to stay true to my food plan. Now, I mix, and store several servings of,1/4 tsp garlic and onion powder with one serving Nutritional yeast and 1/2 serving Naked Pea Powder wrapped in parchment paper and stored in Bpa free sandwich bags in my fridge for a readily available and easy to carry soup Dejour. Restuarant, or when traveling hotel/motel, supply boiling water and Keto-friendly veggies/salad and sometimes Picante sauce or salsa. Nuts or seeds of choice completes meal and nutritional needs for fat, protein and veggies. Can't say enough about this product.

I like the yeast. This package has plenty of ants inside the bag and run on the bag of yeast. I don't know why? So I hope my package can protected better. Lucky the yeast in the bag is good doesn't have ants. Thank you for your business and concern.
