Stopped functioning after less than one year.

I purchased this product in February of this year, and have used it as indicated without any changes. Several months ago, it began to have difficulties bringing water through the spout, requiring multiples tries, after starting and stopping. Today, after 7 months, the water boiler stopped working completely. While it still boils the water, the mechanism to bring water up and out stopped functioning completely. I have had previous electronic water boilers of different brands in the past that have lasted me years, and am very disappointed that this product stopped functioning for me, with less than a year of use.

I wish there's an on-off button. I would give this product a 5 year if an on-off button is available.
I had to constantly plug and unplug the cord so the water would not boil all the time. The sleep function only works between 6 - 9 hours, which is somewhere useless.

Love this thing, Only problem is the calcium buildup after so many refills, but after a quick clean it's good to go again. How did i live without this for so long, i don't know.

i bought this water boiler online for 12 months from Amazon.com, because it was highly rated. recent few weeks it becomes rusted. at begging the rust spot was just one tiny spot like sesame size, few days later it became rich size, afterward it became bean soybean size, it ended up as peanut size. if just one rust spot seating on the bottom i might tolerant it, but thing goes worse, the second rust spot about same size came out. this product should not be rusted forever, but after just few months normally use, now it has 2 big rust spots, and we are drinking the water from it. i protect its inner coating very well, never has scratch on it since we've not touch the inner side since the first day we bought it. THINK TWICE BEFORE BUYING THIS PRODUCT.

Works great for me. Now I can enjoy brewing a cup of tea whenever I like. The Tiger seems very well made & operates quietly. "Made in Japan" = quality. I noticed a very slight plastic taste for the first couple batches of water - but that has disappeared after a couple weeks of use. And it's a great value with Amazon's low price!
